Gave up is the wrong phrase. Its gave away.

Dumars has gotten very little for the players who have left the past several years. All in the name of going cheap.

Corliss. Delfino, Arroyo, Darko, Amir, Afflalo, Billups, Dyess, Sheed.

Why not throw in Mike James and Memo.

And going back a bit, 1st round choices Cleaves and White, Dumars ended up letting go for nothing.

Yes, we have gotten draft picks in some cases, but really, what Dumars has done for years now is just be cheap.

Charlie V makes Ilyasova look like Charles Oakley.

Stuckey playing his subdued superstar game where he misses defensive assignments and can't run the offense. He's totally got the Bucks fooled at this point.

    Pistons on a 14-0 run

Pistons finish the quarter 20-9, after being down 9-6 early. Uncle Dre says it is the best defensive effort of the season, Pistons score 14 straight points, and the Bucks shoot under 20%.

Best quarter of the year defensively. The Bucks weren't just missing open shots, they were taking ugly forced fade-aways.

Tay, JJ, and Ben were locking them down. Maxiell too so far.

4-27 for the Bucks that quarter? That's just awesome.

Jerebko is one heck of a rookie. He's got a chance to be really good - Bruce Bowen+ perhaps.

Looks like he has the best game of his career going tonight. You don't get 12 boards in one half without getting some tough ones. Looks like Rodman the way he's keeping them alive.

He looks a lot like Rodman his first years in the league - super energy, great man on man D - but unlike Dennis, Jerebko has a lot more offensive ability than he ever had. Rodman didn't become a dominant rebounder for several seasons - and he was an older rookie. When Jerebko gets stronger, he might become a much more consistent rebounder than he already is.

Nice win by the Pistons tonight..93-81 a double digit win in fact..the biggest in a whlie.....in fact 3 out of 4 and a two game win streak for the Pistons who also stop the bucs 7 game home win streak.

The Pistons had a chance to taynk tonight, but Mr Taynking had his best game of the season scoring wise with 18 pts...he looks like he is the designated point forward in crunch time these past two wins, but had only one assist.

Pistons went on 16-0 run to close the first qtr, and lead 20-9, but then gave up the big lead and allowed the Bucs to pull within 4, before stretching the lead back out to thirteen ~~~39-26 before settling on a 45-38 halftime lead.

JJ had a monster first half on the boards grabbing 8 or so in the first qtr and 12 in the first half alone. If not for the foul trouble he could have had 20, but finished with 13 after sitting out all but 1 minute of the 3rd after getting his 4th foul in the first minute. To bad CV could not make up for him on either the defensive or offensive end, as he was getting beaten on D and missed all 5 of his shots. The Bucs made up difference with CV in there in the third and it explains why CV was a -7.

Max came in and restored order grabbing boards and scoring just as he did in Saturday nights game and scored a double-double with 14 and 10. He, Stuckey and Bengo were huge down the stretch to regain the lead and win with no real problems in the last 5 mins of the game.

Bengo also came up big tonight after laying an egg in the prior game with a couple of threes and some acrobatic shots. To bad we can't get Bengo and CV on the same page every night. Either one is on and the other off.. If we could get 30-35 off the bench from each of them each game, this team could do some damage to some of the playoff hopefuls down the stretch.

Thanks for the game report Dre. Good to hear a few positives from the Pistons, especially Maxiell.

We have just won 3 of four, and gained several games toward getting back into the playoffs. Milwaukee is one of those teams we have to catch. This was a big win for our playoff hopes. We are now 6 games back of both Milwaukee and Miami. Seven games back of Charlotte and Chicago. We basically have to catch up and pass two of those 4 teams. 49 games played, 33 to go. Other teams are ahead of us too, but just barely. Keep the faith.

Stuckey ended up winning his matchup vs. Jennings. It always helps when you can just rise up and shoot over the guy guarding you.

JMAX had an outstanding game for him, hitting several midrange jumpers and pulling down several offensive boards. Of course, as always, he played fine D.

Ben Wallace was not much of a factor in this one. Few boards, no points. Kuester chose to go with Tay up front with JMAX down the stretch.

Tay has his shot back. That is a good thing. About time. Hopefully, Tay won't get overplayed at power forward so he loses that shot.

CV was worthless on offense, but he did provide the valuable function of resting our front line players.

Ben Gordon was not the scoring star in this one, but he did provide enough kick off the bench to get it done. He did his job.

Rip was so so. He got to the line enough.

Our defense was awesome to end the first quarter. We went on a 16-0 run there. That was most of the first quarter actually. Our starters, JJ, Ben Wallace, Tay, Rip, and Stuckey started it and we just kept playing the good D as the bench rotated in.

JJ pulled down 12 rebounds in the first half including lots of offensive rebounds, but just one rebound in the 2nd half. We gave up a bunch of offensive rebounds too so it was a mixed bag in that repsect. (But a ton of offensive rebounds were gotten by Milwaukee on one possesion to start the game. 2nd chance points ended up pretty even.) JJ hit another outside jumper. Good to see his confindence going up.

Bynum did little offensively, but played good D.

As usual, no backup small forward used. Small ball looked bad in the first half, ok in the 2nd. In all it ain't helping us any. Other than getting lots of minutes for all our gaurds, there is not much point to playing a smaller unit that can't clear the defensive glass.

We are using a true 9 man rotation, with nobody just making a token appearance.

Bynum seemed to tweak his ankle at one point. Hopefully nothing to that.

Thats about it for now. Oh, we got Sacramento at the Palace tomorro night. Just Stuckey and Rip played major minutes. Not too bad. Should have lots of guys fresh enough for tomorrow night.

    • Did we just win a road game?
    • Maxiel continues his great play, just absolutely fantastic, he's starting to do the things we've expected him to do since signing his new deal last year.
    • How about JJ, gotta love that kid.
    • Taynk finally hit some open shots and didn't look like a corpse, Finally!
    • Way to go BENGO!!!!!!!
    • Rip had a decent floor game tonight, he shot 33% from the floor, but he only took 12 shots, so he didn't shoot us out of the game tonight.
    • Charlie Villanueva was the only player tonight that seemed to understand that we're trying to get a top 3 pick, kudos to Charlie because all the other guys who played truely didn't give a darn....selfish jerks!
    • Great to get Big BEN some rest on the front end of a B2B.
    • RODNEY STUCKEY PLAYED ONE HELLUVA GAME!!!!!! Did a solid job of running the team tonight, not great - but solid, but his overall game was SUPERB!
Lee pointed out the issue of small ball, IT SUCKS!!! Stuckey and Rip played 38mins tonight for no good reason at all. There is time to get Austin Daye or Dejuan Summers about 5-6mins at the beginning of the 2nd and 4th qtrs that would allow Stuckey and Rip to get more rest and be fresher down the stretch. Just Plain Ol'BullCrap!

It is so much different watching Stuckey now that the defense can't key on him every possession. He was really dealt a rotten hand for many games this year with Rip, Gordon, Tay, Bynum, and Charlie out. Even when those guys aren't clicking, they still space the floor, which is what Stuck needs.

After thinking about it some more, I'm liking the way that Ben Gordon complements him more than Rip. Since Stuckey is a combo guard, he needs another combo guard partner to share the ball handling duties. Rip is more of a SF than a PG and his high dribbling and bad cross court passing gets us into a lot of trouble. Also, Ben Gordon's deep threat does provide more spacing than Rip's curling. Not that I don't like Rip, but maybe he and Bynum would be a better duo. Too bad Rip will never go for it.

Team looked like they did in the 1st game of the season. Especially impressive in the 4th Q when they regained the lead and ended in a blowout.

There may be some hope yet. Chasing sub .500 teams is not the same as chasing a 1st seed. Even a nice 6-7 game winning streak can put us back in striking range of a playoff spot.
