Didn't the 2-0 Celtics finish their game before you hit the sack?? Looks like we are tied with 12 over teams for second best record (1-0) in the league....not that there is any wrong with that.. However we are tied with Boston for the best scoring defense as both teams coincidentally have given up an average of 74 pts per game.....
We're actually better, because we have not allowed any opponent that we've played all season to score more than 74 pts, Boston can't say that.
I was doing stuff while the game was on, but Tay had 6-7 free throw attempts last night. I never actually saw him get fouled, but that is a good # for him. Hopefully he can be a little more succinct this year. I saw Randolph called for an offensive foul against # 6 last night and figured he got a switch against a guard. I thought it was Flip Murray for a moment. It took me 2 or 3 replays before I realized it was Ben.
Unless they go to an ultra small ball lineup to finish games (I hope not), I think Prince is the odd man out.
how about...... we go with the hot hands, and matchups to end games.... for how many years have we moaned and groaned that the same 5 finished the last 5 mins of every game.... now we have a situation where we have 7-8 guys you can argue should finish... and maybe we have a strong enough coach to play each game as its own thing... if were playing somebody with a small lineup maybe we do go with 3 guards prince and ben... the next night we have to stay big and rip is off... so gordon gets the mins.. the next night those two swap.... from game to game... we actually have to watch the game to know who's going to get mins....
You mean the coach should actually make coaching decisions at the end of games? Now you're talking crazy talk. :nerd2:
That will never happen. As sensible as that sounds, that's not how it works. As fans we wish it worked like that- but it doesn't. Champions have a set style, set rotation and set closers who all know their defined roles. That is the case if you look at all the teams that are contenders.
I was trying to flip back and forth between the Pistons and the World Series (go Phillies). Won't have to do that tonight. Can I ask you guys a question about the NBA ticket..... Is there any way to get the Detroit feed instead of the other team feed. Last night channel 644 I think, it was the Memphis FS and I would SO rather be listening to George Blaha and getting the Piston slant, know what I mean? I don't know any other channel to go to.....
If our defense can keep the opposition scoring down below 80 all season, I guarantee will we will the the title.
i live in Carolina and the usual rule is that u will always get the home teams feed. I couldnt take 82 games of Blaha and his homerisms anyway! LOL
I got both feeds last night, and that was the first time I ever remembering that happening on League Pass. Almost all of the games last night were broadcasting in dual feeds and I have already checked the Direct TV schedule here on my TV here in SoCal and they are doing it again tomorrow night. I doubt that it will happen once the free preview is over as they are probably giving potential customers a chance to hear their hometown broadcasters....
