At LA Clippers March 1st, 10:30 PM TV - FSN Detroit, NBA TV The Pistons travel to the Staples Center to take on the other LA team to close out a four game west coast stint. The once promising Clippers are returning to their lottery bound ways due to injuries. The Pistons will try and get a win after blowing an 18 point lead in Utah Wednesday night, and finish 3-1 on this road trip.
Billups may miss Clippers game: http://www.detnews.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080229/SPORTS0102/8022904 Lindsey prolly dresses. Stucky prolly starts.
BDL's link isn't working for me. Here's what the story says as of now: Hopefully it isn't anything too serious. Might be a loss now at the Clippers without him, but if there's any game on this trip that's not an automatic L with him out of the lineup, it's this one.
The Clippers have been in most games this season...they just are not there in the end. Kaman has been MIA for week due to a sore back and Cassell hadn't played this week either prior to his release. The Clippers do play a little better when a decent team from the east arrives so we will see which one shows up and who is dressed. Shut down Magette and its a automatic W. If CB is not there, then Sheed will have to get off his 2-game funk and lead us to a close out victory on this road trip. I kind of enjoy the same luck that Lee has with his duaghter in terms of attending Pistons games. I will be in attendance tommorow at Staples and I have not sat through a Piston loss in person since game 6 of the 1988 Piston-Laker series. That is approximately 11-0 since then so if CB is missing and we are Rodney Struggling, I may have to suit up to assure a victory
sounds like billups will just stay in detroit since this is the end of the trip. personally this is good - clippers aren't that special, whether we win or lose doesn't matter, and we can give stuckey / dixon tons of extra minutes. edit - mccoskey updated his blog. stuckey will get his first nba start - congrats kid. also sounds like flip murray will be dressed and playing for the clips.
At least this will be different and interesting to watch. Stuckey will be going up against his old practice partners, Murray. It will be fun to see what Dixon can do out there.
Flip Murray will light us up as we give him the sympathy defense like we did memo earlier in the week
Some have said Stuckey can be Flip Murray-esque at times. I'm curious to see how that match-up plays out. If we can't beat the Clips w/o Billups, that's pretty sad.
This started as a 7.5 DR. But no CB 7.7, FMurrary lurking, 7.9. Stuck and Dixon should be able to handle this. But if FM goes off more than 20, let's hang Skoo. He ran him off with his hate remarks.
I'm looking forward to checking out Al Thornton some more. If Dunleavy had a clue, and played him big minutes to start the year, I think he'd have a solid shot a Rookie of the Year. He put up 33/12/4 tonight off the bench against Denver. And if AJ doesn't get 20+ minutes to make up for the Utah fiasco, I'm gonna 'Flip'.
This should be an interesting outlook on how the team is going to maneuver on match up potentials for the playoffs. Confidence levels and experience might play a very big role on trust factors and this will greatly effect minutes played by the rookies during the playoffs series. AJ, AA and Stuckey will now have to start providing more than the usual intensity on the defensive end. Lock-downs on the defensive side is a given during the playoffs and all teams tighten up this emphasis. JD acquired Dixon (and a very good move it was) for his offensive potential during the ubiquitous droughts the guards seem to get after the jump shots don't fall. My eyes will be on Dixon and it will be a very big game for him.
apparently ASB says flip murray is going to sign with the pacers instead of the clippers, so we won't see him tonight

Nothing in the LA times this morning mentioning the former #6jr will sign with the Clippers so I doubt if he surfaces tonight...other than to hang out with Hunter. With former Clipper Jeff mCinnes being waived last night and Tyronn Lue also being released by the Kings, the Clippers may look at one of them before they go with the "hated one"
good 4 him...yeah...he betts not show, cuz u know...i might go on one of my killin sprees...he mess witme, they'll be consequences and repercussions!!!!!!!!
