Thank you sir. Due to my position and posting style, I can unintentionally drown out a discussion or alternate ideas, so I try to post less and let others make themselves and their ideas heard.
I'd like to see more edginess Sir. Chucky has done a great job for a guy that was rarely expected to suit up. We all know his limitations. Folks want to call him a hero after a good game and make him the escapegoat after a bad game. There were many escapegoats IMO.
C-mon, Scola looked like Kevin Garnett. I know Brooks is good but he played like Isiah Thomas. I don't know who the better team is out of the 2.
Sir, we lost the game against Orlando. But at least we were able to climb back into it, riding the points as they came.
Well Toronto lost to questionably the 7th best team in the league Atlanta Hawks by 30! So where does that put the Rockets? Point being, every game is different, that is why you play the game? No argument there. Decisions throughout the game win or lose the game for you. Chucky shooting a break away three pointer with 3:30 left in the 3rd quarter lost the game. That's it.
Shut up, Sir! (sidebar: when I was the company fitness trainer in the Army, I could say stuff like "get down and beat your face, Sir"...i miss that)
Yea, I noticed this too. I was happy to run with it while Rip was scoring, but overall, the team needs to incorporate both Rip and Stuckey's strengths. Hopefully this is just an acclimation thing and in time they will vary between Rip's screens and then him distracting the opposition so Stuckey can get to the paint. Very important they continue to get into the paint though as it opens up the scoring for the other rookies closer to the basket or on open shots outside. I keep using the 'in time' clause, but really, even if we get all the injured players back next week, it would take another month to see them gel. ATM I'm happy with any win we can get, enjoy the hustle of the youngsters, and won't make any drastic trade calls until we've seen the whole team on the floor for a good while.
Obviously Atlanta should beat Houston by 60 points. Anything else would be underachieving. I don't agree with you that Chucky lost this game, however Sir, I did think that break away three pointer was terrible decision making. It was as if Mr. Atkins was channeling Chauncey, but without the shot.
It was certainly a Chauncey moment, and I used to cringe every time Chauncey would pull up. But he used to make em alot.
