KGREG: Your right though. Stuckey has his limitations, but these are even more pronounced when you force him to run 2-chest with RIP. Trade needs done.
You can tell that Rip did not have his legs under him last night, bombing up three after three...Even before we were down by 19. 1 for 6 from behind the arc, that is not Rips game. So not only is Rips style of play not working with the team that is forming now, but he wont even play that game!
Did you see those two free throw attempts where he completely misses the rim??? ....Talking about wide to the left.....
Geez. They are still playing well in the grand scheme of things. Lighten up folks. Every team has a stinker now and then. These guys aren't there yet. Do you get that??? It's going to take a lot of time and lots of ups and downs.
Pointing the finger at Chucky Atkins for this one is borderline...never mind. (But it truly is.)
Coach table cloth was a fool. Pretty obvious. Q is not. He's doing a great job. Anyone here who thinks they can out coach him can kiss...wait...can't express that either.
How bout them Eagles?
Nah, Chucky's inability to recognize the hot hand lost the game for us. One play. I'm not a believer that such things hinge on one play alone, but obviously this lose I feel differently. We had the momentum, Charlie V was starting to get into the flow of the game (which he had not been in up until that point), and Chuck was Chuck.
Down 13 freakin' points and you are blaming a guy off the bench for one play? ONE??
Do you really think the Pistons were coming back from that deficit? There was a reason they were already down THIRTEEN at that early point in the game to a superior Houston squad.
I don't buy it. No sir.
[SARCASM]This team is trying to contend for a title, sir. If you can't accept that and hold the proper parties accountable with an understanding that we will only accept excellence, then please find some other bottom feeder to root for.[/SARCASM]
I like that. I think every post should use the word sir in it. Anything less would be uncivilized.
Toronto blew these guys out so they can't be that good. I think it was just one of those games. Hard to stop a team when their scrubs play like all-stars.
They were down 19 before that, and yes I honestly feel we were making a comeback.
Had a quite similar feel to an Orlando game that was lost earlier in the year, in which we were also down by 19 at one point, until a certain Charlie Villanueva single handedly brought us back to within 6 with just over 2 minutes. So "BUY" whatever you please. Last time I checked Orlando was a damn good team. I think they went to the Finals last year. One of the best defensive teams in the league. If Charlie V can support this team on his shoulders against them, I think counting us out because we are down by 8 with 3 minutes left in the third quarter is just damn foolish. A loss is a loss. We didnt play that well on either ends. But when you have the chance to cut a lead to 5 or 6 from 19, you have to seize the opportunity, and teams that dont, dont win games.
I guess I should have stated that the one play that was made by Chucky Atkins lost the game. He himself did not, as many players did not play their best is all.
And to touch on the pre-game comments about Battier being garbage.
He may not be a great scorer, a great passer, or even a GREAT defender (granted he is good though), but having a guy, a "glue" guy as Special K referred to him as last night, is more important at practice, in the locker room, off the court. Do you think any of those young guys from Houston would be nearly as good as they are with Battier being a total prick at practice? Guys like that make you work 100% all the time. And those young players like Lawry, Landry, Hayes, Budinger, and Brooks all benefit from that when the lights and cameras aren't on. Battier is valuable in many ways.
Fixed for you.
Correlation is not causation my friend. Just because we beat Orlando, doesn't mean this team is better than Orlando, will always beat Orlando, or can beat everyone who Orlando beats.
There is a reason why they play the games.
Also, you did not use SIR in your post.
That's unprovable though. Sir.
This is the Darvin Ham argument. And yet somehow, Darko still turned out to be a bum. My good sir.
Only one game , Max. Just like this was.
Houston currently holds the ninth best record out of 30 teams. I think the top third of the league should qualify as "good". Not great...but GOOD.
IMO they are a better team than us. But that is certainly debatable.
Separate names with a comma.
