At Cleveland Cavs March 31st, 7:00 PM TV - NBA TV, FS Detroit HD Radio WDFN 1130 The Pistons end the month of March facing arguably the best team in the NBA. The Cavs are almost in a virtual tie with the Lakers for the best record in the league and the Pistons hoping to avoid facing Cleveland in the 1st round, makes this an important game for both teams.
Nah. I'm not saying we will win, I'm saying we will be fine. It's not worth being scared to watch, or not watching at all. The Cavs aren't scary. They might be better than us, but they aren't scary. They don't scare Pistons fans. It's a blue collar thing. Act like you've been there before. Even when the Lions are 0-15, don't wear a bag on your head. Grin and bear it. All we have is each other. They can beat us, but they can't destroy our spirit. Never forfeit. Finish the game. Finish the season. It's a blue collar thing.
I'm excited about this game. I think if they could somehow manage to win this game. I think this could lead to det getting into a nice run going into the playoffs. Even if they lose this game as long as they don't get blown out (like they did last time @ cle) and its competitive into the final mins I would be fine with that, because those kind of loses can often come to 1 or 2 things not going your way down the stretch.
I saw that LeBron on 60 Minutes tonight. He told the interviewer, (Steve Krofft) that the game that he scored 25 straight points is his favorite game of all time to to watch and he watches it all of the time.....probably he & is boys watch before all Pistons games so that they can laugh at Tay constantly getting out of the way of the King and Cwebbs crippled legs being to slow to get over and help out.........
if they play with enthusiasm*, even loss is forgivable *something they were totally missing during flip era.
You know it's actually painful to think how many more wins IMO we would have had due to different rotations <Amir>. If he gets a DNP this game or like 2 minutes i'm going to be at a loss. The one thing i like about CLE is their midget guard defense outside of West. They've also been having trouble shutting off the paint w/o Ben (i have no idea if he's back). In theory, it's a winnable game . . .
His favorite game was the one where he decided not to pass to anyone and to ball hog it? Win a championship, then maybe you'll have a game worth watching. So easy to be a hater.
I watched a couple of minutes of that...it was sickening. He was asked why he wants to excel in areas other than basketball. He answered that God had blessed him with gifts to do many things...blah, blah, blah. He is possibly the most self centered individual in the universe.
This years Pistons have proven to be a team that can beat or lose to any team on any given night. Not sure you can say that about any other team. Clev deserves the props though. They are the 60+ game winners this year. I do like playing teams on long winning streaks ( currently at 12 ) because you know they are due for a loss.
Yea that gets annoying real quick, but then I guess when you've had everyone kissing your butt ever since you were in middle school it's probably impossible to be anything but arrogant.
Still hate them & LBJ, but they were pretty impressive taking Dallas apart yesterday. 30 points in the first for the Mavs, then 19, 11, and 14 the rest of the way. They are getting way too cute with all the crap they do before the game, all the cutesy hand gestures, etc. Brown needs to step in right now and shut that stuff down before one of his players gets a beer upside the head or they make KG mad.
I remember reading about him getting stopped on his way to the court before a game his Junior year by Jordan and having him tell him something like, 'No playing around tonight, I want to see one dribble left and pull up, one dribble right and pull up. This is what you're going to need as a pro' Can you imagine that?
Thats why I have a ton of respect for his game. He could easily be one of the best players in the league just on his athleticism alone, but he works hard on his game too. It shows in his improved shooting, defense, and ball handling. He is arrogant, but I think in order to be one of the best players of all time in any sport you have to be. Confidence is more often than not what seperates players at the professional level. In order to be a great player you have to have surpreme confidence.
