Can we call a 7 footer who obsess to hangs aroung the arc, a true center ?

I caught the 3rd and 4th quarters but seeing this team attack the basket and draw fouls was a refreshing change to previous seasons. I was generally unimpressed with Stuck and I absolutely hates the plays where he brought up the ball and Rip came up to him inside of half court and got a virtual hand off. What is that? Thought his defense was unfocused and he made bad decisions guarding Rondo. This generally forces the big to rotate on rondo and left Davis wide open. Maybe that was the gameplan. Who would expect him to hit what 10 20 footers?

Rip was great but neither him nor Tay can handle the ball underpressure all that well.

As I mentioned before, the chance of Stuckey regressing is a possibility. You are now seeing some results of that.

And Curry wants to start Tay in the two position? Simply amazing. Stuckey can now learn how to deal out in a two-handed fashion. One to Rip, and one to Tay. Don't worry Sheed, you'll be in the mix too.

I figured we'd win this won and I'm glad we did. During the game I found myself caring a bit: slightly more happy when we'd make some good plays, slightly more frustrated when we messed up. So this is nice. It was hard for me not to keep thinking: no KG, no KG. But it is what it is, KG or no.

But I'll be honest. I think I'm gunshy. Afraid of being taken in again. I posted a similar thing in the "sandbagging" thread. Are these the "old" Pistons? Well, I already know what they can do and it's not enough, not anymore. I'm not saying these ARE the old Pistons, just that this is what I'm afraid of: that we (and by we I mean EVERYONE) will be so happy to stop the bleeding that we'll forget that we made changes because the old Pistons weren't enough. Maybe it's a silly thing to be afraid of. But I really don't want to go backward.

I'd like to see more Afflalo, Maxiell, and Amir (even Bynum and Herrman -- I know, I said it), not because I think they are crucial to our winning games this season, not even because I think their development is crucial to our long term success, and not even because I want to be able to evaluate them. It'd like to see more of them because they are fast, they hustle, and it's fun to watch them learn and to develop a relationship with them. I don't mind seeing Sheed hit fadeaways on the block, or Dyess hit pick and pops, or Rip score off screens. That's fine. But, it is predictable and we already know it's not enough to win it all. The young guys aren't enough to win it all either, in my opinion: not now for sure, and probably not in the future either. But I sure dig their energy.

Maybe when AI comes back from his injury, I'll get the best of both worlds: the predictable familiarity of the starting core of "old" Pistons, and a fast, hustling, running energetic second unit playing in ways that are somewhat unpredictable, less structured, and certainly less familiar to me.

Anyway, go Pistons.
