What would we have to include in the deal to trade KCP for Burke?
I would go with options 3 or 5.....although Gordon/Morrow gives us more options to spread the floor than Williams does.
A better question might be, Are the Pistons even awake?
Joe better wake up and make some type of deal, or he will have plenty time to sleep this summer....and fall.
This would be one of the dumbest trades that Joe could do. It's a Jazz fan's pipe dream.
We already have a Lou Williams in Jennings. No need for another chucker. Gordon/Morrow is intriguing, but man E.Gordon has an albatross of a contract.
The one that makes the most sense to me among those options is JJ for Dudley. Jonas is clearly out of the rotation here, and Dudley is a SF that can shoot.
Option 3 was Marvin Williams, for BoT and Mitchell. I wouldn't trade Stuckey for Lou Williams (that was option4).
I see everyone of the Clipper games and yes Dudley could possibly spread the floor, but he has been about as bad as KCP in hitting the open shot the past six weeks and that is one of the reasons the Clippers are shopping him.
I like Hibbert. In every clip I've seen with him he seems to be a cool guy. He probably understands stats better than Joe and Mo combined.
Aah, the other Williams, sorry. I agree that Marvin Williams could work here.
I do like Williams these days, but giving up a promising power forward like Mitchell for him will not help us a bit. Lots of small forwards out there. Not so many guys like Mitchell who can guard opposing bigs.
I don't see any of these trades making a difference. I see no point in trading just because the deadline is approaching.
I see a point when the team sucks the big danglies.
I'd move Stuckey for Shabazz. That is a no brainer. I wouldn't want JJ included though.
RJeff and Biedrins for Smith/Stuckey? Put down the crack pipe, that is a stupid trade.

Yep, since Dumars isn't the GM of Utah they would hang up laughing.
I haven't finished reading this yet, but his critique of Joe is the funniest basketball column he has written in years. I apologize to all the Joe fans, he is a great Piston, but he's got to go.
I enjoyed these as well.
This last one is my favorite! I could totally see Joe recommending that they use it on ineligible players once a week.
I think that the cap space available from Stuckey and Charlie is more valuable than any trade we could get for them. As much as I want the Pistons to finally be competitive, I would hesitate to pick up any players with major flaws right now. We have a team full of those guys, and the team sucks.
Yeah, shuffling a deck of 6's and 7's still only nets you a 6 or 7. Teams don't give away too many aces, and we've already played our joker ('14 draft pick).
$16m is a good block of cash. If I could honestly pick any picture perfect scenario it would go like this
Monroe to the Cavaliers for Dion Waiters or Greg Monroe to the Warriors for Harrison Barnes.
Deng as an FA for 4yrs/48m.
That's a 3 or 4 seed in the Eastern and a strong matchup against virtually any team.
Dion Waiters may have "Suffered Scary Knee Injury" yesterday.
I like the idea of Deng for Monroe, although I think his huge salary, Smith's huge salary, nad Dre's soon to be huge salary will make it difficult to have anything but filler on the bench.
Deng seems to be a mature, two-way, complete player. I don't think the Pistons have any of those right now.
