That trade Smith for Brook Lopez article is ridic...and I let him have it on twitter. You think we have a log jam at the 4 & 5 now, geeeesh! Bring in the uber one dimensional Lopez...At least Smith CAN play the 3. Idiot.
Yes, but we have too much redundancy. And it's not hard to be one of the top 5 players on THIS team.
I don't see the redundancy of what he can bring. He.produces consistently enough that I don't mind accommodating his flaws.
Then this team has to build around HIM (a 20 year old) because he's going to make them for 2 more years. Good bye Monroe AND Smith. Tank, and pair him with Smart, Parker or Randle.

NBA Trade Rumors: Detroit Pistons say Greg Monroe won't be traded to Washington Wizards
About the only D we've seen from this team all year. Detroit Pistons 2014 Midseason Report Card | NBA.com I may have given them an F as I'm a little more emotionally involved, but I guess D is about right.
I don't know why they are "agressively" rejecting this. Seems like if they are really interested, we may get a decent amount in return for him. Only thing I could think of is Joe not wanting to look like he messed up with the now-defunct-Hydra or they are not willing to part with Beal. Get rid of Bynum in the trade and play more of Stuckey at the point, with Beal stepping in as the SG. Then go and get a starting SF and we look A LOT better.
"...that the Wizards are being aggressively rejected by the Pistons". It's about time we saw some aggression from this team.
We would be a good trading partner because we have good pieces that aren't fitting. So, we aren't peddling damaged goods, just excess supply.
Just read this article. If Bradley Beal is really off the table and the Wiz are really offering Otto Porter and a bunch of expirings then yeah, I would aggressively rejecting them too.
