Another sport that involves sitting on a bench until the final 38 seconds.

His family is doing much better, now Bill. Thanks a lot for bringing it up, jerk.
I think Lee means Boston, not NY. Darko's career has become so forgettable, he was in NY 3 years ago, before Minny and Boston.
Here are bad translations of the legendary player on the eve of his retirement.
Still the same guy who isn't happy to be a pro and play a role. Although, DHOFers will probably be heartbroken that Darko has taken any personal responsibility for his situation "guilt is mutual".

Does his retirement mean that he is now eligible for the HOF? He still has a chance if he can properly intimidate the voters.
And as they always remind us, it's not the "NBA" hall of fame, it's the basketball hall of fame. Theoretically, they could take into account his performances in international competitions, pre-game warmups (where he shot 100% from the floor), and all ways that he gives back to the game that he so loves.
As far as I'm concerned, Darko is already in the Hall of Fame.
Darko belongs in the HOF. Remember that HOF recognizes all people who has had a remarkable and long lasting impact on the game. Darko has done an amazing job transforming international scouting practices and pre-draft research. Thanks to him, most teams now have much more sophisticated and improved scouting processes in place. So yes, he does belong in the HOF.
This is a late reply, but I think Spo is an alpha dog in his own way - he is a master tactician. People listen to him because he has all the information.
He lets people make mistakes - rolling back to iso's, poor help d etc - lets them get bit by the mistakes. Then he shows them why they are messing up - they respect his knowledge.

When asked how many offenses he's been a part of as a King, DeMarcus Cousins said: "Actually this is my first one."
Zing!! Take that previous coaches!
How many offenses has he been charged with?

Andre Drummond is kinda awesome.
I love this kid.
A great read if like me, you follow the entire NBA and might just happen to watch a few non-Pistons games this year. Light-hearted mostly, especially if you know the names Simmons and Lowe. Some funny quotes.
Bill Simmons and Zach Lowe on the watchability of every NBA team - Grantland
My favourite part of the article:
Zach: But Tommy Heinsohn (and I know this is sacrilege) requires at least five mutes per game. He might lead the league in Mute Efficiency Rating (MER).
Bill: Our biggest disagreement of the column. I love living in Tommy's world — a world in which every official has it out for the Celtics, Avery Bradley is the next Joe Dumars, and Kelly Olynyk is the next Dirk Nowitzki. I don't want to live in anyone else's world. THAT … IS … BOGUS!!!!!!!!!
Love these two, but especially Zach Lowe - second to none. I learn something every time I read a column of his.

I'm reading the first part of your post thinking: "Why in the heck are the Cav's retiring Zeljko Rebraca's number?"

He's only 35. Maybe we waive Siva and get these two back together for a tearful reunion? We do have a gap in the mid range department.
