Bill Simmons thought the Spurs might be in trouble tonight before the game "because there's a lot of traffic" outside the arena.

At least once a telecast he'll be talking over someone (Mike Wilbon tonight) while they're about to cut away for a press conference and he starts looking around talking to the producers saying, 'What?', 'Huh?, 'Oh!' before he'll finally shut up.

Duncan was late due to traffic, but it didn't hurt....

Awesome move hiring an all-time great who bleeds their colors... or lack of colors.

Kidd looking to lock up Lawrence Frank as an assistant. This seems very bizarre to me. I'm of the old school "pay your dues" before you can be a head coach. The Nets saga will be entertaining if nothing else. There is definitely some talent there.

It's a bold move. They're certainly not playing it safe and it looks like they're willing to spend on assistants to help him out.

It will be a slap in the face to him at first.

Bill Laimbeer must be rolling in his grave hassack wondering about all of the work Kidd put in as assistant coach to get a HC job less than 30 days after he last suited up to play....

Wonder how many other recent retirees will go to one of their former teams and convince the owner that he is better than any other veteran coaches out there.?

Perhaps Kidd's Kid will help him out by serving as an assistant.
...he has always struck me as someone who has a lot of mental capacity.

A more in-depth coverage of Moose and Drummond going to the USA Basketball mini-camp.
Greg Monroe, Andre Drummond invited to USA Basketball mini-camp - Detroit Bad Boys

    I didn't know this:
This is also impressive considering how many games he missed and how he played limited minutes to start the season:
Moose is also quietly playing very well. When you look at these numbers, you kinda wonder why we are so ready to part with him sometimes.

I don't think Pistons management wants to part with him. It's just the casual Internet fans out there with the crazy, unrealistic trade scenarios.
