    JaVale McGee Is No Joke

It sure seems a lot easier for guys to blossom when they have good teammates.

McGee led all NBA players in +/- per minute this year, despite having negative figures for virtually his entire career.

Even @roscoe36@roscoe36 would have a healthy +/- if he played for the Warriors.

But would he have the best in the league, even better than his warrior teammates?

This is more than a correlation. I think it's a division of labor example. He is filling a really important role that they were really missing.

It is truly amazing to me that many of my brilliant friends here haven't heard of Occam's Razor.

Maybe McGee stopped being a knucklehead and grew up, you know, like with age as nature has intended and been carrying on literally forever.

I would without a doubt be the greatest warrior ever. I would make people forget Manute Bol.

See I have to disagree. We have 10 years of him being a knucklehead. My predictive model is saying there is 0% chance that he will not be a knucklehead tomorrow.

How's that for Occam's razor cutting to the bone?

Perhaps this is the first time he's the only knucklehead on his team.

To be expected. Many people fall into the trap of seeing things in a linear progression. Some bias from our evolution perhaps.

    That's not Occam's Razor btw.

That is Occam's Razor. Well done.

I know what Occam's razor is. That was a sarcastic post.

I am a big fan of Peter Hitchens, but his brother, Christopher, not so much. Hitchen's Razor is Christopher's work, and I am quite certain that my favorite Peter would disavow it.

Everything we do not (yet) know by definition lacks evidence. If you dismiss the possibility that there are things we do not know and have yet to be discovered, then that IMO is a very narrow and cynical worldview. It certainly isn't thinking big or being open to growth.
