I literally lived out of a duffel bag, backpack and garbage bag between 22 and 24.
Would have been nice to have even see one of our guys be a candidate for Most Improved Player but not nary a single accolade. Maybe Toby moves into running for sixth man of the year by year end and by some chance, the Pistons run the table in the last 26 and SVG wins coach of the year...
Very good article on our shortcomings. If other teams didn't know the Pistons weaknesses regarding RJ and Drummond, they sure know now. Have to wonder if the thoughts of Pistons players that actually read this article agree with all of the comments.
Agreed. The videos and the breakdowns are awesome. I highly recommend it.
You know that you've been waiting for this all year................. Where BillLaimbeer gets his sports news. Forbes Releases List of Most Valuable NBA Franchises
The analysis were great and the prediction was void.
LeBron makes 80 mil a year and the Cavs franchise loses 40 mil a year. How selfish. Is it really worth it Cleveland?
When you have FU money, it's not about profit and loss. It's about prestige and legacy, things that are very hard to buy outright.
I want to continue this thought. This is why an Illitch spends any amount of money to win a World Series and several Stanley Cups. This is why Martha Firestone-Ford started laying the smack down with the Lions. IMO, they were becoming a real embarrassment to the family, HER FAMILY. I doubt she gives a crap about the game of football. And this is why some very successful people divest their interests to go into government. It's not about making another shekel. They already have or have had a lot of money. They are post-hustle in a sense. It's about fulfilling a psychological need. Think of the great athlete who coaches an unknown high school team when he could be doing commentary on ESPN or ads for Isotoner gloves.
Magic Johnson takes over as Lakers president of basketball operations in stunning front-office shakeup
Time for us to fire SVG and bring in Zeke to revive the good 'ol rivalry.
I'd rather bring in Zeke to run our offense.
Zeke - General manager, Bill Laimbeer - Head coach, Rick Mahorn, Rasheed Wallace, Tayshaun Prince, Greg Kelser assistant coaches.
Wonderful idea and total team fine could jump out of the roof.
Hard-hitting story by a local writer: Pistons' SVG tries paczki for first time: Half was good ... and enough
I would have pictured Stan shoving the whole thing in his mouth and getting it all over his shirt.
Mmmm paczkis. I miss those things.
Bad! Gluten! Sugar! DEATH
Well, there's that. That's why you eat one per decade. Still brings back sweet Michigan memories. I miss pasties too. Not the gravy-drenched slop that the flatlanders prefer though. I'm talking about the real stuff the ore miners of the UP used to eat.
Not a lot of hoopla greeted Pistons 60 years ago Interesting peek into the early days. Not too glamorous. It's hard to believe that there was only one change of ownership between the Lions last Championship and the Pistons last Championship.
