Flip just doesn't get it. Let's get one fact straight: Tayshaun has broken down late in the playoffs ever since the championship run because of high minutes.

If Tay plays more PG, then you cut his minutes at SF because of the statement above. Flip S. is making it sound like he just figured out that Tayshaun can pass well, and he also makes it sound like he will give him more minutes than last year.

He is really irritating because he never learns. The thing that Flip will do is play Tayshaun at PG and SF and it will win the Pistons more regular season games, but the Pistons will burn out in the playoffs again. History repeats itself, but usually people will remember their mistakes for some time and then they will make that mistake again after a long time instead of messing up 3 times in a row.

Lets not jump to any conclusions until the games begin. People talk a lot but quite often don't follow through on what they were saying.

Chris McCosky / The Detroit News

AUBURN HILLS -- Chauncey Billups couldn't believe it.
"For real?" he asked, incredulous, when he was told the Pistons were one of the worst teams in the league at converting layups and tip-ins last season.

"In losing four straight to the Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference finals last season, the Pistons missed 40 layups or tip-ins. In Game 3, they missed seven layups and lost by six points; Game 4, they missed 11 layups and lost by four; Game 5, they missed 12 layups and lost by two; Game 6, they missed 10 layups and lost by 16."

Pistons turn focus to finishing shots

    Pretty interesting.

Hot Rod, AJ and JMax will help remedy that problem.

Why are these stats being revealed to the team now? Doesn't Flip have somebody on staff who does a technical analysis?

Obviously not. I thought we could all pick it up very well, and we all said that this team needs someone who can finish at the rim. Don't have to be a scientist to see that one.

Thanks, TaShawn. This was a very good read indeed. Lots of good info. Did make me think about the Flip-KG parallel. If it is true then we can't have Flip stick around and ruin our rooks. :)
