Kwame, Amir, Dyess, and Maxiell aren't smaller. Big time weight advantage. Kwame and Amir are 6'11". Miller and Noah are 6'11". Dyess is stronger than Tyrus. Max is stronger than all of them. Dyess and Miller are the only "skilled" big men in this grouping and that's a toss up. Tyrus is shooting the worst percentage of the bunch, worse than Ben Gordon (not even counting BG's 3's). It is doubtful that I would trade our bigs for theirs straight up. And their 3 big men are going to make $20M next year vs. about $10M for ours.
Amir isn't 6'11. Miller makes 12.5 of that 20 million, doesn't he? Thomas and Noah have in their first season of regular PT shown they belong and should improve driving up the value of the money they make. If Max were taller he'd make a fair comparison to Thomas. Max is smarter. If Amir were bigger and stronger then you could make a comparison with Thomas as well. The DET bigs are mostly one dimensional which is why we're comparing 4 to 3 although they are better at the intangibles.
I really don't dislike any of them, but Sheed, Herrrrrrman, Dyess, Kwame, Sharpe, Max, Bynum, Stuckey, Rip, AA, Tay and Amir in some order. I am down on the team as a whole probably. In reality, the Bulls guys should be better. Thomas was the 4th pick(?) and Noah 9th(?) so it isn't exactly fair to our guys to compare them. I am kind of fed up with the limping dog look the team has adopted. I don't want to have to look real hard, watch each game twice or use equations to prove how good some of these guys are.
That's pretty much all of them. I guess I'm used to backing up my arguments with data (habit from work). If you don't agree with something, I bet it is really annoying to have to endure all that.
Not at all. Most of your stats make my head spin though. I'm not a big stat guy. Sheed is my favorite Piston. I'm not sure who # 2 is.
Pistons' substitutes can't torpedo Cavaliers | Freep.com | Detroit Free Press+ He then goes on to explain that Amir Johnson is not the answer. However, by the same logic that he used to show how great Lebron is, Amir is +12 in 9.7 minutes. Adjust that to the amount of time Lebron has been in the game and it comes out to +97.7 for 79 minutes. HOLY BEJESUS! Great article though. In summary. Lebron good. Pistons bad. Bench had their chance and blew it.
It was a pretty sweet deal... except that CB was more valuable than we thought, Dyess's contributions were in vain, AI was less valuable than we hoped, and Michael Curry spent the entire season stealing random lineups from Lee's rotations thread. - If that's the case, Lee's rot. thread must be deleted, now. - Originally Posted by The Low Well, scream 'till you're blue in the face. This season was such a joke. Cavs should just put us out of misery. The media aready has. Thanks for coming Det. No P/O magic for you.
It's not that people are not reading what you write. It's that they know the article is BS. Paul Davis is 6'11"
I would just like to point out that by this very same logic Herrman is +122 for 79 minutes. HOLY HOLY BEJESUS!
I really thought Herrmann has cemented his reputation as the Lebron stopper too. What more does he have to do to make MC realize that he is our ticket to the big dance?
If you look at the camera angle Amir is leaning back and the other guy is leaning forward. He is not 6'11" though. I have been to enough games to see that he is not 6'11".
