The Skyforce home page is here. Amir should be in uniform for their next game, which is Friday evening.
It looks like you can get a radio feed of all D-League games here. I haven't tried it yet, but it appears to work the same as NBA Audio League Pass, except that it's free and you don't need to be logged in. Tonight's game is at 8:00 EST against the mighty Arkansas RimRockers, which is just after the start of the Detroit-Atlanta game.
Skyforce wins 104-98 Amir: 42 minutes, 18 points (6-13 from field, 6-8 from line), 9 boards, 2 blocks, 1 assist, 3 turnovers, 3 fouls boxscore
We're gonna have a hard time keeping Amir on the low... the price goes up from here... I liked him better on our bench ti next year.
I wish I could have seen this game, and seen how many shot intimidations he had. How many times he got over effectively on help out D, either stopping someone at the basket or thrawting a drive in before it started. I will guess, from what I have seen, that he did these things a lot. Considering the rumor that we may be trading a big for Mo Pete, room in the Pistons rotation might be opening up. Keep it up Amir.
NBA TV is showing a Sioux Falls game today, but apparently it's from last week, so no Amir in that one. It looks like whatever D-League games they show on NBA TV are about a week old. So maybe they'll show one of Amir's games next weekend.
All Amir is getting is exercise. He prooved all he needed to last year in the D-league. It's comming the time when he needs a little manhandling in the show to continue figuring things out.
Still I think they want him to bulk up a more. Still the Pistons aren't so good that he can't be our Bynum. Merc, from what I've seen JMax is ready.
Frank Williams with 15 pts in the first quarter looked better than Flip has lately. Who own's his rights? Was it 4-5 from beyond the 3 pt arc?
I'd rather wait untill we see something in the NBA from Amir before we go shipping off a player who has been proving all year he's an impact player in the NBA.
Point well received... however I'm sure Joe & Flip are well aware of how these two match up against each other (Amir & Jmax)... I do recall an interview with Flip talking about how Amir needed to bulk up because he was having difficulty holding position down low.
