It looks like anybody's week. Tied for steals (my worst category), and I'm up two blocks. Everything else might hold. Nash and Bargnani are beaten up might plays with no good info.

    Good luck webz.

Well done dba. Much deserved win. We both had guys miss games so no excuses really. I think I was pretty lucky to get this far having lost some important players throughout the season. My waiver pickups kept me in the hunt.

Kwame's 2 late garbage-time blocks really hurt and in the end it was just the 1 block in it.

If anyone is looking for me I will be down having a beer at the Heartbreak Hotel. Come to think of it, I might just buy the joint.

Three steals (adv you), one block (adv me), and two turnovers (adv you) difference, oy. Picking up Kwame when Bargnani went down yesterday was pure dumb luck / desperation. Without him I would have taken turnovers and I'd have lost blocks for a 4-4-1.

Wonder what would have happened then?

Wow, dba won by one block. 5-4. Had it been tied in that category, it would have gone tiebreaker and Webz would win by 30 points.

Congratulations dba on your gold. Your team pulled it back together not a moment too soon. Excellent job winning a super tough league!

Congratulations Webzie on your Silver. It seems like you were the bridesmaid a lot so I checked. You've got 11 trophies, but an inordinate number of them are silver. (6). Nothing wrong with that. Great job managing once again!

Congratulations on Bronze Ralphi. Always medaling in Advanced. Amazing.

It was competitive and fun guys.

If I could return to Vienna to hand it over in person, that might be worth throwing a week or two to fall to second place. We could pass in trams at Schwarzenberg Platz and hand it out the window.

I'm jealous - what an incredible city. We stayed (Hotel am Shubertring) very near there. We were nearly neighbors.

My wife was going to a conference at the university and we were leaving at different times. I was unfortunately lucky enough to get out of Munich on the last flight leaving before the volcano shut everything down. My wife and her colleagues got "stuck" for nearly another week in Vienna. Tough life in the academic trades.

    yeah, life's hard :D
what scientific field is she in, if you don't mind?
Since the Vienna University is not exactly known to be a bright spot, I hope she wasn't too disappinted :-)

Medieval literature. The professor there is an old friend. There were probably thirty or forty people at the conference from all over. I went to the opening and had a glass of wine.
