Well you can tease me all you want about the desperate desperado moves I've made from the waiver wire this week but desperate times require desperate measures. Believe me I'm not a happy camper about having to adopt a strategy involving beating ANYBODY in the BLOCKS category :cold:. Perish the thought.
I'll admit it's looking pretty bleak for the Aurora Guardian's now but what's an addicted GM to do? Lay down? Never! We may be sucking but I told Darth our team is like a scrawny little mutt that has ahold of the pant leg of your nice new Armani suit and won't let go until he's done significant damage or at least irritated the hell out of you.

So we're aiming to at least worry you there Webzie. Ya nevah know.

Gordon just might be back on Saturday and Sunday. :gun1:....

    Sigh.:pout::pray:

so Lebron explodes just at the right time for Motown, shooting an abysmal 16-21... it's so crazy, Motown has about 10 injured players and it's still extremely close

Congrats on your victory! Your team is pretty good. It was a disappointing season for me in the end with all the injuries during the playoff week, but I guess it happens. I'll be rooting for you to 3 peat.

Nail biter in progress with Aurora.

I currently lead 5-4 and had the opportunity to bench Odom and Matthews with a slim FG% lead. But with a few guys still in the 4th quarter of the Mavs-Warriors game, I couldn't risk it.

Let's see what happens. Come on team!

    Congratulations Bill!

I'm pretty sure if I played any other team I advance. Nice coaching job and nice job picking the right mercenaries.

I specifically told my guys that scoring 50 three pointers and 48 steals would NOT be enough to win those categories but they swear I said it WOULD be plenty.

Motown, next year maybe you will think about first round byes for the top two Flip Saunders teams?? :pound::gun1:

I ran into that problem last season and got ousted as the #1 seed against DBA. I can certainly sympathise with Motown... *cough* ...hint... *cough*

I beat you 55-52 in steals last week, so I was hoping for that category. I thought 700 points would be enough to win that category, but you already have 744. That's crazy. Kyle Lowry pulled off a triple double today. Plus, Delfino had 14 three-pointers over a 2-game span. That made up for Mario Chalmers getting carried off on a stretcher yesterday.

Anyways, good match!!! You were the toughest opponent I faced this week.

Man, that Kyle Lowry move is the one move I wish I could have back. I mean, Brooks comes back from injury, the two start splitting minutes with an eye to Brooks reclaiming his job, so I drop him. Then BAM! Brooks has a cry, gets traded and Lowry keeps killing it. Good pickup there Bill.

Congratulations webz! Just watched the last ticks of the clock of your game. I was so glad to get to the playoff the first year I was in Advanced and I was SO dreading playing you because we were so close in our matchups. This one didn't disappoint either did it? Hey man, I'm your biggest fan going forward. You're an awesome manager. As for next year, stop grabbing my free agents within seconds of me taking them, ya hear? LOL.

    Motown,
it's hard to see this. I caught you at probably the only time this season your team was beatable for me. Still, it was close until yesterday; the situation you faced was very difficult - drop players like Millsap, Scola or Danilo and weaken the team? Especially if they're all day-to-day? Or hold onto them and hope the best? I think you didn't make any mistakes at all, while I was lucky. That said, with Kevin Love's status uncertain, Camby getting injured again and Boozer not definetely back, the health issue remains central in the fantasy leage world.
I think every manager has a move he'd love to undo; I did the same thing with Delfino when Maggette seemed to get hot. Now he's shooting the lights out from 3 pt land for someone else. But with Lowry, it's probably even harder since he's really become an elite PG this season,

I'm not at all sure how that came out 5-4. I'm expecting Yahoo to revise the numbers any time now. I managed to sit Matthews for his one good game while I had him.

    You are too kind.

That was a close run thing. You gave me more than a few worries and your first season was definitely a success. I'm sure you've learnt a lot and you now know you can hang with anyone in this league.

I'm under no illusions that I would have struggled against either Darth or Bill had I played them this week.

It may be time to get creative.

I will be force-feeding my players a steady diet of Snickers for starters.

Motown, I just want to know what Gerald Henderson did between 9:42am and 9:45am to deserve getting dropped....

I guess he must have laughed at Motown getting ejected from the playoffs. :stirthepot:
