Good luck Kim. Looks like you got the best of that little trade - hope it doesn't come back to hurt me. Or perhaps I was too quick to give up on Collison.

Two matchups during the season ended in a combined 9-8 result. Should be a close one!

I really do not want to face Motown in the first round...

And I really don't want to face you. You've caught me at my weakest point of the season with a lot of injuries. Looking at the matchups it appears this will be a race to see who gets healthy first this week.

It sounds like everyone has a lot of respect for the other teams in this league. I have no idea how any one of these matches will go. It's been that kind of season.

[STRIKE]I was lucky enough to get a bye this week.[/STRIKE] I play Laimbeer. It's going to be tough. Our only meeting was extremely close and Bill took it 4-3.

On the brighter side, his teammate Lamarcus Aldridge only plays 2 games in the next 5 days.

I love it. The current champion who has won two in a row vs. the runaway regular season winner. :pop2:

Well it should be entertaining (read: agonizing) at the least. I think I had Gordon healthy for one of those matchups and out for the other. Who knows what his status will be for this one. No news until Wednesday (more agony).

What I remember about both of our matchups is that I was glued to the StatTracker until the very last quarter of the very last game which is as good (read: agonizing) as it gets!

May the Games Begin! And Good Luck Webz. And all GMs still battling it out.

P.S. Eric Gordon, I really really need your wrist in basketball action by Wednesday night. PULEEZE?! I will make you the MVP if you play and we win!

this is the special thing about the playoffs; you have players carrying your team the entire season and suddenly they're the reason why everything could end in the first round. At the same time, you never know if you may drop them or not since there is more than one round.

Yep. Nash is lying in a heap on the roadway this week, but you never know, could come back and do serious damage next week. Which won't do me any good if I can't get through this week.

    What's a mother to do?

Send Stevie some ointment for his diaper rash? :noidea: :)

Good luck, dba. I don't expect this week will go quite like last week did.

    @ Bill Laimbeer-Wait a minute...

Let me see if I got this straight... I lost my best Center-who is FINALLY playing well-to an ankle injury yesterday-and YOU had his backup-who profited and will continue to profit from my guy's injury?

OK, and it was in the first day of my first round playoff battle?

Is that about right so far?

OK AND I had at least STARTED the day with 7 guys and they somehow found a way to generate 20 freakin' Turnovers???

AND those 7 guys outnumbered you but you are still whooping me???

Did you ever watch The Twilight Zone?

It's early still, potato head. It's nice to see you nervous, but the better team will prevail in the end.

    Have a nice day.

    Man, this is unreal.

Scola, Noah, Gallo and Milsap all out this week with injuries and illnesses.

Each one is day to day so I can't drop them.

I need a miracle it seems.

it's not a sure thing that Noah will be out. Plus, your team is that ridiculously good that it's still going to be close, especially with my team nagging with injuries too - I just read that Devin Harris may have to sit out with a sprained wrist.

It's official that Noah is out now.

It would be very nice if Devin sat out a game. I'll cross my fingers. lol.

Since it was apparent that my chances of making the playoffs was slim a couple of weeks ago, somebody could have asked me to trade Blake to them before the March 3rd deadline..or is that fantasy collusion???:)

    You got hit hard, Bro.

The playoffs are so unforgiving. A lot of luck is involved but you gotta be really good too. Bad stuff like the opponent getting hot at the right time. The role injuries play. Schedules. Guys being rested for the real playoffs.
We all have played fantasy sports for a while and I think we've all profited due to Lady Luck and we've also been treated mercilessly by Lady Luck. USUALLY the best team finds a way to win anyhow.

All the teams in our playoffs could be crowned champion and be deserving, but it is very frustrating to have such a great regular season and have it end poorly. But it is only Tuesday...
