I saw a very creative idea posted by a user on Bleacher Report, he says:

Here is my idea. or fantasy. Trade monroe and jennings for Rondo. Let stuckey and Charlie v walk. sign Melo in free agency.

we know that Smith is friends with Rondo and that Melo wanted Rondo in New York. Would Melo join the pistons, real good chance since the pistons was the team that he was interested to be on when he was drafted in 2003 because of the fact the pistons were a playoff team. With Rondo trade midseason, the pistons would definitely be a playoff team. It is one thing to be on a big market team like the knicks, but it is another when you are on a team that is more or less over the hill when it comes to their title chances.

    PG: Rondo/Billups/Bynum / Siva
    SG: KCP/singler
    sf: Melo/Jerebko
    PF: Smith/ Mitchell
    C: Drummond

    championship contenders? you bet!!

What do you guys think? Frankly, I would go for it even if it meant no championship this year.

If the Jennings signing just was a step to get Rondo I'm a Dumars fan again. A multi-step plan! That would give Rondo time to make a comeback and Joe could see how he looks after the injury. Knight and Monroe for an injured Rondo - I'm not so sure. Jennings and Monroe for a healthy Rondo - alot better. It would also give Joe the chance to see how Monroe and Drummond works together after the Frank debacle. If they fit, then the trade is off.

Mitchell (6-6) could start at SF.

If we gave up Monroe and Jennings for Rondo, I would be extremely dissapointed. That is a poor ass trade. We are getting cents on the dollar for a player who is right up there as a top 10 F/C on a rookie scale contract.

Monroe + filler is as high as I would go for Rondo. Jennings at $8m/yr is an asset, not trash to throw to Boston.

No Rondo; until some proven circumstances present themselves. This means a personal serious dialog with Ainge, coach and how his role will be defined by these two. Yes, it's a re-building process, but he has to understand what a total comment level means and perhaps a personal frustration level that this may encompass. There are levels to this latter approach. The lower levels mean a certain maturation understanding that leadership is not all immediacy of ego satisfaction. There will have to be a sharing. Can he stretch a new pictorial canvas? Another question to ask, concerning the latter (and the jump effect to higher): how big is your timing toward utmost levels of satisfaction? The Pistons are an incremental movement forward. Coming off a serious injury and at age 27; how do you gage your immediacy of effectiveness and its results by media frenzy, "as circus presentation"?

Didn't Rondo just tear his ACL? People are acting like he was hit by a roadside bomb and lost a leg.
