Remember how you live in PHX and didn't know who Jon Leuer was?

I think you have the same blind spot when it comes to our best defensive big, Aron Baynes.

The only players we need to add are people who can get the most out of Dre.

It might be time to bring Spencer Dinwiddie back.

Terrence Jones is an OK defender, averages less than 0.8 steals per game, 1.0 blocks.. his best asset as a PF is his post game. If he was an inch or two taller, teams might look at him to play Center, and his value would increase tenfold.

NBA Contenders don't even need to make trade deadlines anymore, they can just claim gems off of waivers that other teams were stupid enough to release. Jones will probably head to the Warriors.

First mover advantage. By being a winner, they are instantly a destination.

It's not dissimilar from the first paper published on a topic, the next gen of papers on that topic will all cite the only existing paper, and very quickly it becomes the authority on the topic, even if it is proven later to be incorrect.

Actually, it's different from that. But you get my point, winning begets more winning.

All of these castoffs going to the Cavs...guess the guys at the bottom of their roster aren't good enough to go anywhere else.

I really hate the trend of "oh man, I was a great player in my prime, but never good enough to win anything, so I'll use the promise of delivering glimpses of my past glory in bite size 5-min stretches every other game for these other guys who are kicking butt, so I can finally get my hands on that championship ring I am entitled to but was never given"

I guess I get it. But it seems hollow.

Do we trust adding Brandon back on the roster and letting Beno go? Not sure what the payout/release buyout would be.

I still love Jennings. Jennnings and Ish would run opponents out of the gym.

I also still love RJ. We're definitely not seeing his best ball right now.

Can Jennings defend a PG any better than Reggie?

I think so. I was looking at a ranked list of active PGs in the league for defense. Jennings was a few spots above Reggie.

    ...
    58. Brandon Jennings
    59. A traffic cone
    60. Arena A/C
    61. Reggie Jackson

All kidding aside. At least Jennings tried. Reggie just doesn't seem to be interested in defense at all. Completely one-dimensional player.

I thought RJ did a good job on Smart last night when Smart was trying to post him up.

No but passed the ball on offense rather than just slapping it against the ground.

I believe the traffic cone was recently released....so it appears Reggie will be moving up on this list.

I think Reggie is trying hard on defense. The problem is two-fold: (1) None of our guards can stop dribble penetration against quick guards, (2) Our defense scheme versus the high pick-and-roll still needs a lot of work.
