I agree with what you say here but I feel his game suffers along with everyone else's because of the style the Pistons play.

I don't think you can compare and cross the eras that easily. Folks would freak out if Rasheed shot 4 3's in a game then.

KCP wouldn't see the floor again if he took his 2017 shots in 2004 even if he played for Nelly.

You like KCP but you call him "Mr. Shoot and Pray"?

Yes. When you're in the Fight Club you have to live by their rules. If they don't shoot immediately someone else will.

We could have won with KCP in 2004 if he would have come from the bench. :)

Mike James and Lindsey Hunter were much better players than KCP.

KCP has a high likelihood of getting a max offer from another team this off season. If not max, it will be mighty close.

Everybody else is crazy though, I'm sure.

Yeah, no one has ever been overpaid in NBA history. LOL

Look, I like KCP. He's not a franchise player, even if he is about to be paid like one.

You mean that same KCP that for the month of March is 33/88 from field, 12/43 from deep...and has gone to the line 18 times in 9 games? If he continues to play like this and the Pistons miss the playoffs....yes, he will get over paid by some team....even if its the Pistons... :)

I don't dislike Leuer. I dislike how and why he was signed.

I was thinking of this conversation watching tonight's game. Think of the offers Rip would be receiving if he were about to hit the market today. He would feast playing in the hands off era.

Rip was here for a long time and was a diva, good and bad. This made him easy to turn on. He was a very good to great player in his day.

You could make an argument for Drummond if the light was right, but Rip was better no 2 ways about it than every other guy on this squad. By a lot.

I don't understand the thought that a guy is definitely going to get overvalued by the market. The max contract amount is obviously too low since so many players are getting it. It would seem that all of those max contract guys are getting underpaid (unless it is an incredible coincidence that teams were only willing to pay them an amount that was exactly equal to the max allowable).

I hope DET pays him the league minimum and he accepts it. But in reality, that isn't going to happen. There are going to be a handful of teams out there with money to spend who will be looking to sign one of the best defensive SGs in the league, who also shoots in the high .300's from deep.

The 5th highest scoring player in the league puts up 14 points on us and KCP's bad shooting night ignites conversations about dumping him.

Just heard JVG on the ABC game say that he "watches his brothers' team in agony and that is why he never attends". Cross him off as potential coach or broadcasting any of our games....unless we are in the finals...:nono:

There is probably an argument to be made than he is our best player.

Can you build a championship team with KCP/Dre maxed out?
