I watched the last 10 minutes of this game....Michigan should have all of their bigs in the paint to anticipate the hail mary.. But then again at least three of the last four Michigan plays were Derrick Walton driving with circus plays where he was hoping to draw the foul.

At worst case, you don't front a guy like Walton did and let the pass go over top. Stay behind him and force the guy to catch, pivot and launch a fade-away 25 footer in 1.7 seconds.

36 point victory tonight over Nebraska after suffering the last second layup loss to Northwestern last week. The Wolverines drained 14 three pointers compared to 2 for the Huskers....that's a 42-6 advantage from downtown. Derrick Walton looked like Trey Burke out there tonight..18 points and 16 assists.... Final score M 93- Nebraska 57. It was the Cornhuskers worst home court loss of all time.

Michigan is the 8th seed in the B1G tourney and will play the Illinois in their first round match-up. If they win, they will face the reeling Spartans...

Wolverrines playing in their practice scrubs jump off to a 20 point lead 31-11 in the first 13 minutes of the game only to see the Illini fight back and draw within 7 with a 15-4 run....including a personal 10-0 run by Illini guard Tracy Abrams.

Mich finished the half on 9-4 run to lead by 11, 40-29. They shot 59% from the field despite not practicing yesterday and flying in early in the morning.

Michigan finishes the game on a 13-4 run in the last five minutes to get it back to 20 and win 75-55.

Beiline wins #210, most in Michigan history surpassing the legendary Johnny Orr.

Derrick Walton Jr. looked better than Trey Burke, the former player of the year....with 19-5-4

Next up, #1 seed Purdue, who they blasted less than 2 weeks ago.

Is Walton a potential NBA player?

Unless he leads the Wolverines to the final four, he probably won't get drafted and will have to rely on walk on try outs. There he can impress a few scouts and GM's and get signed to somebody's D League. That injury last year probably set him back some and although bulkier than some, he still seems a bit undersized.

They may keep playing in their practice uniforms after this result.

Purdue hits a 40 foot three to end the half after M had rolled off an 11-0 run to recapture the lead. Half time Michigan 38- Purdue 37.

Derrick Walton Jr. wanted to wear them today, but they were able to get the
    regulation uniforms and wear them.

Great game ....This one is going down to the wire. .. Michigan 1-11 from beyond the arc so far in the second half. Purdue has missed at least 11 layups in the second half and yet they are tied with less than three minutes...

The Wolverines hold on and beat the #1 seeded Boilermakers in OT 74-70. Never have I seen a team so highly rated miss so many point blank shots...

The Boilermakers are going down early in the NCAA tournament if they play like they did today.

8 teams going in....I predict 4 will make it into the second round and maybe 2 of those will go to the third. Wisconsin and either the Wolverine and or Spartans.

That would be pretty much impossible.
