You gotta cheer for Clemson because they have great uniforms. :)

Hardly. Uncharacteristically kind of Saban to say that but it is what it is. How can there be consolation in a 38 point arse whooping? I mean if THAT was an improvement how bad was MSU BEFORE that? MSU hung around for 20 minutes. Then collapsed for 40. I think a pig looks uglier with lipstick on it than without. Still not in Alabamas league. Simply not ENOUGH talent before and currently. The game was a sick joke. Kind of like if OSU said there was a lot of improvement in Michigan. Sure that is true. But eons away from OSU like MSU was from Alabama. Save it Saban. We will lick our wounds without your tongue just fine. MSU did their best. I do think MSU looked worse than they were. MSU couldn't beat those guys but a 10-14 point loss wouldn't have looked nearly so bad andI think had they not lost heart we could have pulled that off easily. It could not have been worse. If Clemson can pkay Alabama better hats off to them but I feel like Alabama may not be at their best against them after creaming Us!! They will be overconfident and the game will be closer. Had MSU caught them in the finals the game wouldn't have been 38-0. Maybe 30-17 or something. Who knows. I still feel like MSU was sacrificed to play Bama in Texas in the 1st round.

    I wonder.

Do I want Clemson to win because I dislike Alabama.

Do I want Akabama to win by a large margin so that MSU doesn't look quite so bad?

Not sure I even care. Plus I still feel great about the MSU season!!! I wish they hadn't been embarrassed by Alabama but still MSU exceeded my expectations at 12-2 and the 2nd annual NCAA playoffs.

Overall 5-5 for the B1G but we lost 2/3 of the big Bowls. MSU and Iowa going down in pathetic fashion. OSU helping the conference save face. Not too good. Not too bad.

Next year a new QB. But who? Last time our QB left for the NFL we were 7-6. Hopefully no repeat.

It's hard not to root for Saban after those nice things he said about MSU.

I'd have to agree with this post.
Saban was so gracious in victory.

Really, it was nice on the surface. But when you think about it he was complimenting himself. "Hey, you guys got twice as good and we still slaughtered you. "See how great MY team has become"? He is unlikeable, but no sense cutting off ones nose to spite one's face. I.E. You don't look so bad when they slaughter the number one team.

Believe me, I would never actively root for M or O. But the more they looked good in other games, Sparty profited after beating two really good teams. S beat M and broke the scoreless streak and beat O without their arguably most important player. The Alabama game result was unfortunate. Stuck with them for 25 minutes. A couple of bounces and I think they would have lost by a somewhat respectable 24-10 or something. Like when Calhoun knocked the ball free and kicked it out of bounds. Cook not pushjng it and settling for a FG T the half. But it wouldn't have been nearly enough for a win. They lost to a better team. One of the greatest (or arguably THE greatest) of recent times. No shame in that although the score was unacceptable. Screw Saban. I'm still super proud. Best season ever!!!!

I usually don't have favorite players in college. I loved Cousins at the end. Darquez Dennard was also awesome. Right now it is Malik Mcdowell because of the way he stood up to his parents to join MSU. Just wait until next year!! He is getting better every game and is aleady a tour de force.

How come when we got blown out 38-0 nobody thought we were Michigan? So much for the cliche "it works both ways". :hmmm:

On another topic: what in the hell is this supposed to be? --->:flock:

Well my mother in law, (a FAMU alumni that loves the USC Trojans) who doesn't know the difference either ask me "What happen to your Michigan team?" Then the next morning she complained to the high heavens about how the Florida Gators could do no right vs the other Michigan team. See what happens when you let them stay over for the holidays.....:bowl:

The special teams won it for the Tide...especially the onside kick recovery....plus the speed....Great game!!

Clemson was good too, so not sure if MSU would have beaten them either if they had been inserted as the #4 seed. The voters probably got it right....but wish that Clemson would have prevailed though..

See you all CFB'ers next season

Clemson manages 40 points with 550 offensive yards...and loses.
A great game because these were the two best teams this season.

If you like defensive...grind it out battles where one offense averages
3.7 yards rushing...and the winning team averages only 3.0 yards per carry...
Than you were watching the same game. An overall great game for the viewer.

Great game and by far the two best teams in the Nation. You have to feel good for Saban. What a great call on that onside kick. Genius.

The best 4 teams made it to the playoffs, IMO. Too bad S couldn't touch Alabama. It's difficult to say what would have happened with Clemson. Matchups are huge. But S played Alabaama and got crushed. That ends a tremendous season just not the way S fans wanted. No complaints here!! S beat M bringing joy to my heart every time I think of it or watch the final play and reactions of both teams and their fans. Knocking off OSU as two touchdown underdogs without Cook. The windmill game. More joy. Then bringing home the B1G title with a drive for the ages. 12-2. Awesome!!

Next year looks rather rough. So many key players from the winningesr MSU class EVER graduate. Thank you guys for all the blessings you brought!

    2016 Schedule:

    Furman... Who?

BYE wtf? Total waste and it may work against S if anything. No chance to work out kinks.

AT Notre Dame. What can S possibly learn from Furman to help here?

Wisconsin. Tough B1G team so early.

AT Indiana. M learned last season they are no joke. S should be ready. An important game to get S on track.

    BYU? S at home.

    Northwestern. Good team.

    At Maryland. Bad team.

Michigan is hopping mad and sooner or later must win. I believe this will be an off year for S.

    At Illinois.

    Rutgers

    Two lousy teams.

    OSU. Good luck.

    At Penn

    8-4?

Funny how the 4 best teams just happen to each be from a different conference.

I thought the Big 10 should have had two teams.
Oklahoma had no bidness being there with that breezy schedule they played.
