Even at this level, you like at patterns. The Pistons followed lazy mud-tracks from the previous schemes.
    Point-Counter-Point: this time, in reverse...
Pope does not inbound and you let him pick up double screens for his activity.
In this case (with millons bets on THE official NBA outcome), you reward your best percentage:
a somewhere Harper for an easy three.

Question: what does SVG do with Harper?

Darn close to pulling a comeback, but hey, they are in 2nd place at the end of the day.

Pope was on the cold side for much of the 2nd half, yet started pouring in the points in crunch time and ended with quite an offensive game to go with very solid D.

Mitchell did not play much, and our inside D looked horrid with him out of the game, especially if you tried to combine Cook and Ohl.. (can't recall the rest of the spelling) at the same time.

Cook hit a couple of outside shots and bit more scoring, but he certainly does not help much on D. I think his time is past.

We missed Siva badly in this one, way too many possessions ended up in turns with the ball never even getting anywhere near the basket. Miller could not follow up his 2nd half performance from yesterday, not at all, as far as getting us into plays. He did score well again though. Probably a good candidate to be a backup shooting guard for someone. He has the height, and enough ball handling ability to compliment a real point guard.

Harper looked good again. I imagine that if he had the start again, and Cook had not played, we would have won this one. At least we would have had a much better chance.

Do the Pistons have any capacity to sign Liggins to their D-League outfit?

It's too bad the Pistons roster is so stacked or maybe they could keep him.

Liggins is already slated to be on the Clippers roster in Vegas next week. and being the D League defensive player of the year, we could use another defensive player on the squad to make up for the lack of D we had last year from Bynum, Stuckey Singler...

Honestly, DeAndre Liggins is a scrub. Who cares if the Clippers find room for him to wear street clothes to their games?

If they can't make our top 8 I won't lose sleep over them. Heck if they can't make our top 3 right now, its not worth worrying about with our talent level atm.

Liggins, at some point, might be able to guard 2 positions, knock down corner 3's and finish in transition.

The rookie minimum salary is 500k and I think the veteran minimum is $1.5 million. That's not a good value?

Meeks has a better and more diverse 3-pt game, but what else will he definitely give you?

Speed. Dude is fast, and playing a fast pace, with young athletes (Drummond, Pope) is valuable.

Liggins has averaged about 1 point per game in his 3 years in the NBA.

He put up 20 in today's loss to Orlando.

    Pistons finish 3-2.

I've got to be honest, I've never heard of this guy prior to him playing for the Pistons this summer. I had no idea he's played in the NBA. You could get me to believe anything about him.

It just seems like there are a lot of guys in that 6'6-6'7 range out there and I'd like to see the Pistons start accumulating and developing them because they're valuable and cheap.

Of all the formulas to win a championship, I'm sure this one ranks right up there.

It sounds like something Lee would like. A team consisting of all bench players. Darn good idea.

I like the idea of holding a tryout and just measuring the guys' heights. If they are between 6'6" and 6'7" and they are willing to work for cheap, then you sign them to a deal.
