I've been long time Pistons follower and I do not remember somebody scoring 25-30 pts for Pistons at the summerleague before The Pontiff. Hmm....

really thats what you saw? I though he was outplaying Bynum near the end of last season. Had some good games near the end.

Siva did have a few nice games at the end of last year. Bynum has great heart and attitude but he can be inconsistent and can get into Bynum-mode once in a while.

Right now, the point guard depth chart looks like this:

    1. Jennings ($8.0 million)
    2. Dinwiddie ($600,000?)
    3. Bynum ($2.6 million)
    4. Siva ($800,000)

If the Pistons are still trying to pursue Isaiah Thomas, then we have way too many point guards.

If no further trades/signings are made at PG, it wouldn't hurt too keep all four of these guys. Hopefully, Dinwiddie is healthy and we can see what we've got late this fall. Bynum and Siva would be decent cheap end-of-bench/street clothes/practice guys do round out the roster. If you are trying to build a playoff contender, though, you probably won't be successful with Bynum or Siva getting any real meaningful minutes.

He's the Kobe featured player on the roster....and is taking 18-20 shots a game. Remember how passive he was during his rookie season....didn't shoot that much, because Jennings, Bynum and Stuckey only passed it to him when he was wide open on the arc and he rarely went to the hoop. When he does that and shoots from everywhere his game will open up a little more with confidence in himself and selfish team mates.

I miss Korleone Young. He was the summer league MVP for the Canberra Cannons of the Australian NBA in 2003.

I think Browser considered adding Young, but he thought having one MVP on the roster (Datome) already was plenty.

As I recall, she was unfamiliar with the area. Good job by him there.

I know it's pretty much a bunch of scrubs playing out there, but how can a team build up a 18 point first half lead and then lose by 19 points? Neither team had much of an impact player (KCP !!) to make that much of difference, but at one point Indiana which trailed by 18 in the first half to the Celtics had a 26 point lead in the early part of the 4th quarter before finally winning by 19.

The game was on in the background and I was on the phone for most of the second and 3rd quarters, so I am not sure what really happened......and probably don't care since it was the Pacers and Celtics :israel:

The problem is that the Pistons have already committed $2,915,908 for Bynum. Detroit can waive Siva over the next week or two and it would have no salary cap hit against it. If they keep Siva, it would only cost $816,482.

Bynum is tradable. He could help a contender by being a microwave type. Play him when you need a comeback.

That's B.S. And yes, I mean you, SVG.
Never let a side glance think that a small movement, or an incremental direction, is a placement without a whole.
Development is about pieces that may be disjointed, but somehow those crooked branches reinforce a new pattern of branching.
Look at Siva's progress. A very similar Nash accomplishment.

My heroes were Isiah Thomas, Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson. I think they were just so competitive and creative. Especially Isiah, he was somebody that wasn't very tall. He had played the game mostly on the floor and it made me feel that I could find a way to do the same.

Will this be my ultimate dream-state: my tiny world with a conversation over electronic-digital thumbprints, lasting at least half of a basketball game (one hour)? Perhaps, the end result: a lifting-like fog just slightly above my eye level of navel-gazing.

The guy keeps winning me over every time he opens his mouth. How much better is this than, the corner three is the hardest shot in the game type of nonsense? The buffoonery era is over my friends, and I don't need to see a single game be played to recognize that.
