Cleaves didn't look like he missed many meals.
It's the Joe Dumars effect.
Joe hasnt missed a meal since he last wore teal!!!
NO WAY!!!! Walker, who is having a good year for Charlotte, was NEVER a point guard! Napier reminds me of a right handed Damon Stoudamire!! Damon had a great career coming until he got hurt and just seemed to never recover. Napier is the ONLY player the Pistons need to worry about drafting and I'd trade Smith and Jennings UP to get him!!....and If Isiah returns to run the show, NO DOUBT it will happen!
He is predicted to go early in the second round.
I think Napier is a better shooter than Cleaves. Having watched him here in CT for a few years, I'm just not that excited about his pro prospects. But I also said that about Drummond.
I hope he stays at UConn a LONG time. Other than the money, I'm not sure why these NBA coaching jobs are so appealing. At a college, these coaches are kings. On NBA teams, the players are the kings.
Connecticut players seem to make decent pros though....
Izzo wisely rejected the Cleveland job in the summer of LeBron. Money aside, NBA coaches get nowhere near the love and respect college coaches get after defining a successful program. Pop is the only exception
Being just 3-4 years removed from NBA, he is well respected among his former peers having played on 12 teams. He could be the King, but I think he will stick around at UConn for awhile... Often wonder if any NBA GM's have ever approached Geno Amerwhatever though to see if could handle the guys?? I mean he has finally surpassed Pat Summit now with 9 championships, how long will he coach and yell at young girls???
Auriemma definitely doesn't treat them like young girls. He calls them "guys" in interviews and treats them like basketball players first and foremost. I could see him coaching a male collegiate team, not the NBA though.
