Another year we're looking in from the outside. Here are the matchups:

    WEST
    OKC (1) vs Houston (8)
    Spurs (2) vs Lakers (7)
Denver (3) vs Golden State (6)
    Clips (4) vs Memphis (5)

    EAST
    Miami (1) vs Milwaukee (8)
    Knicks (2) vs Boston (7)
    Pacers (3) vs Atlanta (6)
    Nets (4) vs Bulls (5)

The 4v5 matchups in both conferences should be fun to watch. I suspect the Denver-Warriors series would be entertaining basketball as well.

Spurs vs Lakers is probably going to be a very good series.

Also interesting storyline with Harden facing off his former team.

If I have to root for anybody, I'd root for Denver or Spurs I suppose. Pacers on the east.

Probably wouldn't call it an upset the Lakers are playing. Genobli and Parker are more valuable than Kobe.
If both are out it goes six games in favor of the Lakers. The ESPN gods have given all of the breaks to them and they taken advantage of it.

Dwight Howard needs to assert himself as the future force of the Lakers. He needs to have an identifying moment in his career that fans will look back on with fondness. With Kobe out, and his quick transition into fossildom happening, this can quickly become Dwight's team with one excellent effort in the playoffs. If not, the Lakers are looking at a complete rebuilding mode, as Kobe's elephantesque contract suddenly becomes a factor. A quick playoff exit means that Howard slithers away a failure. I see a Laker TEAM of players hungry for a new identity......

I'm guessing we'll get at least one epic Harden vs. OKC game where he threatens for 50.

I'm guessing it'll go 4-1 OKC's way, because Durant is just too good.

Thank God for our 2009 draft picks, I can't see for the life of me why he thought Austin Daye was a more appropriate pick than Lawson .

Drafting players is really easy when you get to wait four years to make your pick.

GS is done with David Lee's injury. He's out for the season. Also, the Manimal is comming back soon for the Nugs.

I was there last night for the Clips game vs the Grizzlies. Tay contributed 2 points, so he better show his playoff experience in the next couple of games if the Grizz want to take this series.

The Clips got nothing from their bigs as Blake was 10 and 5 and Jordan was 3 and 8. The Clipper guard play from Paul, Billups, Crawford and especially Bledsoe in the fourth turned the tide from a close single digit game near the end of the third into a runaway 21 pt win. The Clipper guards combined for 65 points to offset poor shooting and foul trouble of Lamar Odom and Blake Griffin.

Here is me and my son and CP3"s fathead twin...outside Staples after the game.
