I prefer "Nester". (ask Thee)
Ok. I've sent a memo to Joe Dumars telling him it was now O.K. to draft CJ McCollum now that we've resolved the CJ conflict here at PF.com: The OFFICIAL(ly looking) fansite of Detroit Pistons fans
I don't see any of Noel, McLemore or Porter slipping. Burke falling from 7 to 8 isn't really slipping, so I don't really see anyone falling hard. I don't know anything about Len, but all the 4 teams ahead of us could use a big man so I'd say one of them grabs him.
I guess Bennett, but mocks have him going anywhere between 4-8. There just doesn't seem to be a project/athlete/bust type in the top end of the draft this year other than Noel.
BPA isn't going to determine our pick. These guys are all really close to each other. We can draft on need and we don't need another project big guy.
We will be drafting a wing.
When your team is a LONG way off, I think you have to go with best player available, irregardless of position.
My point is that it is difficult to pick an actual best player at the 8 spot. There are a few exception who may slip - Oladipo, Burke, McLemore - but for the rest, do you take Alex Len or MCW? They both look the same, upside wise, to me. So where the is no clear cut better player, you take what you need.
