We just seem to always come up short at the positions that mean more to the league than to the Lions. THIS DRAFT is the key to the next THREE YEARS for Stafford. But any team with Stafford, Tron , Bush and Suh SHOULD be a playoff team anyway!!

we aren't balanced: 2 first rounders on the Dline no stud LBs, 1 good player in the secondary and a starter in Houston but neither can stay on the field.
On Oline we lost 3 starters so now that needs rebuilding.
We could go Oline and corner in the draft and do pretty good.

I heard the stupidest thing, trade up to 2-3 to get a left tackle.
I realize LT is not a need but a necessity but Mayhew should get canned if he does that.

I did see one rumor having the Lions trading up to #3 to take the guy from Central Michigan.

Most teams in the top 10 are trying to move down. Only a couple of teams, Atlanta and Miami, are talking about trying to move up.

They may get the guy from Central anyhow. Fisher could go first or still be there when the Lions choose. Even if he isn't, the Lions may be able to snag Lane Johnson. Some people predict three OT''s going in the first four picks. Some only have Joeckle going that quick. This draft you really don't know what's going to go down with the first five picks.

Several teams looking to trade up or down but only if things fall a certain way. From what I understand, Fisher will be the main key as to how many teams try to jockey for position.

The order of OT's will likely be Joeckel, Fisher, then Johnson.

But there is a QB, CB, DT, and a couple of DE's people have going top 5 too.

Some say Miliner shouldn't be drafted high due to his bad shoulder. If there is a play making LB there, that might lower our points surrendered.

Yep. I think I posted much earlier that Miliner had some injury issues.i think they should stay clear of him. I think they would do better getting someone to protect Stafford. He needs to stay off the ground.

I'm hearing a lot about that DE Ansah. Not a bad idea. Coyne J would be on board with that.

Wonder if the Lions should have gone with Mingo instead of Zeke on that defensive line>? Maybe since they worked with Ezekiel and like his character they probably thought it was the safer choice...:football:

I think they contracted Matt Millen to do some consulting with the Lions for the draft.

I think Mingo and Jordan were both perceived as 3-4 DEs, much lighter than 4-3 DEs

It was still interesting. The guy gets canned by the Lions for Matt Millen and now he is the scouting coordinator for the Steelers. Something is wrong here.
