These interviews are 2-way, remember. The candidates are trying to get a feel for the organization and whether they think it would be a good fit. Talking with a few players is not unusual. Let's hope Stafford doesn't have any voting rights in this process

First question: how would you suggest that I throw fewer interceptions. Take your time with this one.

First, I would test Stafford just to make sure he isn't color blind.

Beuerlein was one of the best QB in the game in the late 90s. He played for some crappy teams. He does know about losing so maybe he provides insight on the Lions.

Same could be said about Stafford.

So, you think Stafford should be involved in the head coach interview process?

Doesn't seem like a great idea to me.

I am not totally against the idea, if it is Aaron Rodgers or Isiah Thomas (some sort of stud captain that will obviously lead the team to success for years to come). Stafford, on the other hand,....

Maybe some of Stafford's problem is his receivers. Games can not be won by Megatron alone.

I am fine with Stafford as our QB. I think the overall personnel on the roster is solid. I believe it's more of a cultural thing. Let's hope a new coach can have a positive effect.

Lurie: Eagles Headed In The Right Direction

I doubt anyone will watch this but this is what I was talking about about a good owner. The Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie is in the locker room saying goodbye to his players and taking interview questions and answering them knowledgeably and articulately. He knows his team and handles his interview with sincerity and class, in my opinion.

You will never get this from Ford. Not in 100 years. This is why I am not a lions fan but I hope they win for their fans in spite of them.

I cannot stand the Ford family in general. In my opinion the Lions window for success will not be very long. They got some great players because they were horrible for so many years. Now they are mediocre and will not get those kind of guys. And we all know what likely happens after that.

William C Ford Sr is 88....wonder if he even comes downtown to see any games anymore. Bill Jr is currently the guy in charge and he is 56 years old. Wonder if he has met Megatron yet??

Remember when the elder Ford gave Megatron the game ball earlier this year?

This was after the Dallas game where he had 329 receiving yards.

Hey! What's all that hype about Johnny Manziel ?? Is he really that good??

Would you pick Manziel and get rid of Stafford if given the chance??

To answer your first 2 questions: I have no idea

To answer your 3rd question: Not a chance. Like it or not, the Lions are glued to Stafford for years. He's still young and has a massive contract (a lot of it guaranteed), so he's not going anywhere.

I'm not in love with Stafford, but we can win with him. His issues can all be corrected with proper coaching. That's why I think this coaching decision is EXTREMELY important. The Lions have a small window of opportunity right now. Calvin Johnson only has a few years left of his prime & most of the rest of their core: Stafford, Suh, Fairley, Tulloch, Levy are all entering or in the middle of their prime. The time to win is NOW.
