I refuse to believe the deal is dead.
Brandon Jennings' Girlfriend Ending Domestic Partnership ... With Other Woman | TMZ.com
They clear the logjam by moving a starter for 2 backups. It's not a good haul talent-wise but I'll take it. Maybe they can get more for him if he's tied to a team trying to convince Rondo to come?
Who signed this guy? He's a 14 year old pretending he's 2PAC.
My closest comparison for him is Ludacris or little wayne. All talk no steez
Pistons planning for all scenarios with Monroe - Yahoo Sports
Joe started chasing names than shopping for pieces that actually fit with what the team needed. Not defending Joe in any way, but the Jennings signing is most likely what Gores wanted.
Was that wisdom tooth really impacted or was his jaw broken from a punch? Hmmmm....... You can't talk trash and not be willing or able to back it up. Why do some players just continue to do things to be in the news for all the wrong reasons? In my opinion it is a major red flag/ character flaw.
Jennings has always gone to his own beat, I guess. Has anyone else really gone to Europe instead of school? (I'm not counting Dylan McKay.)
(Keith Langlois via Twitter) Ok so.. let's start and trying to figure it out: Who can those be? Here are my picks, trying to get in SVG mind. Not because I personally like this names, but I'm trying to predict what SVG will try to do. The names of some SG and SF that I thought: Evan Turner Luol Deng Gordon Hayward Chandler Parsons Trevor Ariza Wesley Johnson Xavier Henry Jodie Meeks I just thought in SG and SF with some decent 3p shooting ability that SVG might like. Who else did you think of after reading that tweet?
If we are automatically ruling out guys like LeBron and Melo, I could see SVG also adding to the list - Nick Young, Granger, Alan Anderson, Bazemore, Mike Miller, F.Garcia... wonder if we'd make a run at Lance Stephenson? Parsons and Hayward are my picks. But both are RFA's so we'd have to make a sizeable offer for their teams not to match. Considering Utah couldn't get it done last season I think we'd have more chance of getting Hayward. Staying away from Turner, Deng in particular.
Stephenson is interesting. He is a completely average shooter. What's interesting about him is that he generally stays away from shots that he is not good at. Check out his shot charts. It's uncanny. He's a good player though. He makes plays and can even kick over to SF for some stretches. Is he the shooter SVG wants? Hayward is interesting. He had a bad shooting year, but he's better than that. Meeks can shoot. Avery Bradley is like Lindsey Hunter Jr. Evan Turner can do everything pretty well, but he's not really a marksmen. CJ Miles could be a low risk, low reward type of guy. He's an above average wing defender who can knock down the corner three.
I just don't see the wisdom in signing anyone for $10-11 million per to play here. We got to stop swinging for the fences.
We should start swinging for bloop singles?
Gotta get guys on base.
A walk's as good as a hit.
Nope, line drives. Smart and aggressive, not desperate.
Would you pay $10 million for Ryan Anderson to play for the Pistons?
That's Tim Duncan money.
