I thought he might opt out to sign with the Pistons and mentor their bigs.
I can't believe Bowers didn't even try to go after Duncan.
Twitter / WojYahooNBA: As planned, Carmelo Anthony ...
The worst case scenario for the league is to see the Lebron/Wade/Bosh 4 year run end a new conglomerate is born in Lakerland with LeBron/Melo and Kobe. The Lakers have cleared cap space and could ship out Nash and have enough money to pay all three if Kobe gives back some. I don't want to see Kobe get anymore rings and would love to see the Lakers struggle for the remaining 2 years of his contract. But you know how it is when players conspire collude with each other, and with Melo opting out and James quietly thinking about sneaking away from Wade and Bosh, we don't know where these guys might wind up. The Lakers have not hired a coach yet, because they are waiting to see if Lebron or Melo will bite and if they do, they will let them pick the coach ...along with Kobe's blessing.

Dang it..Rick rolled. I actually thought Bowsers was getting to work.
...what a D-bag. I remember the MTV cribs episode that featured Melo back when he was in Denver. While showing off all of his whips in front of the garage of his luxury high-rise condo, he stated: "I need to have my windows tinted cuz my celebrity status is high."

All of these opting out and draft stories dominating this week and we are only in the mix for a 38th pick... Can we at least trade Monroe or Smith for a top 15 pick?
Give Jack Browsers some time, Dre.
This will end up being à very interesting offseason as desperate teams try to shed cap space a year earlier than anticipated in the hopes of landing these two. Hopefully Detroit becomes a way for some team to get rid of a decent player or two.
I guess that means that if Wade and Bosh opts in he's gone. He would get my eternal admiration if he decides to have another 1 hour televised decision show.
I think you'd be more likely to see Lebron, Kobe, & Love in LA than Caramello. Mind you, I'm not a fan of the All-Star team model. LA tried it 1st then failed, but since then BOS AND MIA have used it to secure at least 3 titles. However, Nick Young just opted out in LA. I don't think I would mind adding him to our perimeter corps. Thoughts?
This is the 5th or 6th year in a row that we're banking on teams just giving us good players because we have cap space?
Wasn't that who Molly Jennings was passing the rock to in the club? Generally speaking I would prefer signing players like this, but I don't think he'd be a good fit with MJ and Smith.
For some reason, when I close my eyes and think 'NBA Champion' Swaggy P's face isn't the first visual that pops into my head.
Swaggy P would be your Microwave if he was consistent...instead he comes off like JR Smith without the true long ball. Still he would be that perimeter threat that we lacked last year....even if most of his points would come from just inside the arc. In other words, he would have been an upgrade over GiGi
Of course not. That would be Ron Artest.
What would the Swaggy P/Molly J backcourt nickname be, Ecstasy? Double Dose?
Can't Resuscitate. Overdose. No but seriously, no. Not even suggestions about how it can be done. I don't want to see any Swaggy P rumours. I hate him and I hate Iggy Azalea, she is a feral shire bush pig.
