I agree with you.
Why trade for Melo when they can just sign him? He said he's willing to take less $$.
He's probably hoping and praying that he has options. The sign of a true leader.
Carmelo Anthony will probably have some better suitors than Detroit. We would have to show that we are one Carmelo away from being a contender. Which we are not. I mean, it is certainly worth a shot.
We signed Josh Smith and Molly Jennings last year. What more do they have to do to show they're ready to win now?
Nice one Ernie, lol! Now let's try this: Imagine you are Carmelo Anthony, you have played in Denver and New York and failed to achieve the ultimate goal. your choices in the table are: Join forces with Lebron, Bosh and Wade. Join forces with D.Howard and Harden. Join forces with Dirk Nowitzki and Monta Ellis. Join forces with Kobe and some other free agent Join forces with Derrick Rose and Joakim Noah Join forces with ..... Jennings, Smith and Drummond. What is the most logical choice that you would made? Please, be serious.
If it ain't rough it ain't right sj. Det all the way.

"Look honey, they've got a farmers market right there in the city!"
You offer reality...This is the time of year I prefer to dream....last 6 years, anyways... NBA’s 8 Deadliest 3-Point Shooters of All Time A shooter would be nice...like somebody on this list.
Interesting to see that the big three will get salary increases next season. Each is scheduled to make 1.5 million more per season. Plus...many salaries go off their books this coming year. HoopsHype - NBA Salaries - Miami Heat LeBron: No paycut without roster upgrade - Yahoo Sports
The one that offers to most money. I am dead serious.
Nah. The difference between 19 million and 19.5 million isn't that great, especially once you include taxes. Melo want to compete
To be brutally honest, I've never seen Melo interested in competing. He's interested in scoring a lot, but I don't think he really understands what it means to be competitive.
I have always thought the opposite. Every time I watch the Knicks I see him hustling his heart out and the rest of his team being disinterested and lazy.
It was two facets of one thing.
I think it's almost impossible to read people's thoughts while watching them play a basketball game.
