Yeah, that's quite a lot but the Spurs know Duncan will retire next year or the year after. Ginobili the same, who is a FA now and will likely re-sign for less $$. They can afford to pay Splitter that much. It's a pre-emptive strike now I'd say. Some team could offer him more after Howard is off the table.

Me too. Funny thing is that he probably contributed more to their success (what there was of it) last year than Howard.

Lol, the kings took their offer back. Are the Maloofs still running this team or what?

And NOW they are trying to regroup and work it out with Evans. I think they have hurt their chances at signing any big names now.

In news from Roscoeistan, Raptors are weighing options for trades.

I wouldn't mind DeRozan here. I've always liked that kid.

They were always going to be behind the 8-ball for big FA's so they tried to hit the homerun early with Iggy. They were hoping to wow him with the $$ and sign quickly. But Iggy showed it wasn't just about money, wanted to wait and the Kings didn't have the time to wait cos Evans already had an offer pending. They had to pull the Iggy deal or risk missing out on both. It makes them look bad now because it didn't work, but if they had pulled it off everyone would be singing their praises.

That's exactly what I was thinking. Rondo has to be a goner there. No way they expect this guy to get his ear.
