Nemo's predictions are actually very predictable. He always predicts the opposite of what he wants to happen. That way, he will get some satisfaction either way. He hopes MSU will do poorly, therefore he picks them to start 8-0. He hopes the Lions will do well, therefore he picks them to go 4-12. It's like clockwork.
Nemo is usually good on MSU predictions but this time it seems waaaay out there.
Western Michigan - WIN Southern Florida-win Youngstown -win At Notre Dame- loss ( embarrassing) At Iowa-loss Indiana-win Purdue-win At Illinois-50/50 ---win Michigan- loss At Nebraska- loss (embarrassing) At Northwestern-loss Minnesota-win 7-5 IF MSU beats Illinois. Otherwise 6-6.
MSU will expose Notre Dame as pretenders...........
My predictions...the reasoning. 1. I always pick underdogs. 2. I base my choices against the national pundits. 3. I usually go low with the Lions and more recently, the Pistons. 4. I LOVE the Spartans, always have. 5. I DO love the Lions, but always look at them with pessimism. 6. I look at the Psychology of the situation....... 7. I look deeply at the history of the situation That's why the Eagles will bounce back and the Lions will not........ My best this season.......Scherzer over Verlander........... My doozies........You'll have to read Laimbeer's book...
sunshine? Seriously? Contrary to what you might think, I'm a realist. I have no rose-colored glasses. The offense made my stomach churn with how inoffensive it was. I called out Roushar as the problem last season. Perhaps I was wrong. Maxwell sucks and Cook isn't much better...neither of them are capable of getting MSU more than 4 wins in the conference schedule unless the D scores 2 or more TD's every game. And, it doesn't help that the receivers can't seem to catch the effing ball. Langford might be a decent back if the OL could open more holes. Overall, a MAC level effort by the offense: D- Time to burn Damion Terry's redshirt
I think 7-5 (4-4) seems reasonable.
Once again the post Cousins quarterbacks prove to lack leadership and the ability to move the team. They don't appear to have confidence in themselves which I believe also affects the receivers confidence ( although they are not blameless and maybe some of THEIR arses should accumulate some splinters too). No quarterback means no offense. No offense means lose lots of games. Play one of the Freshies against overmatched Florida Pyle U.S.M.C. Let them gain confidence, gain learning experience, give the team a fighting chance. The defense is already grumbling and can they be blamed? Dissension looms. Please take action Dantonio before it doesn't make a difference.
Sparty is ranked somewhere between 26 and 30 which seems a bit generous to me, but that really isn't that bad. It shouldn't be that hard to move up, and as of now if you told me they would end up as #18, I would take it. Dantonio wisely is keeping everyone guessing on quarterback but it should NOT matter next week anyhow, and if it DOES matter next week then it does NOT matter.anyhow Now that doesn't make any sense if you think about it but when you REALLY think about it it does.
Which quarterback is starting next week: Andrew Maxwell (senior) below mediocre in 2012. Lousy in game one 2013 Connor Cook (redshirt Sophomore) played as backup 2012. Did OK. Was a semi hero coming in late 2012 Bowl game. Lousy in and out backup last week. Can run. Tyler O'Connor (redshirt Freshman) Damion Terry (Freshman) possibly most talented of four. Dantonio remains mum. I think Maxwell 5% chance starts Cook 50 %chance starts O'Connor 30% chance he starts Terry 15 % chance starts I think Maxwell is done barring extenuating circumstances. I think Cook will start but if he doesn't play well O'Connor comes in tomorrow. If Cook sucks and O'Connor struggles Terry plays. The opponent is not good so Cook should do fine. If not I doubt it gets past O'Connor but What if Terry starts? Maybe he should based on practices but will the coach move on from the other two without giving them a shot to start? So Im guessing Cook and possibly O'Connor too. Possibly O'Connor might start with Cook backing him up. TheMSU receivers are sucking too. Probable a shake up there too. If MSU plays poorly next week too then they are in serious doo doo if not already.
I cannot believe at halftime were up 7-6. And Appalaician Florida State is sucking too. Defense 3 touchdowns this year. Offense one. Can't even hit a chip shot field goal. I don't remember things this bad for quite a while. Defense is incredible.. Why did I think we were losing most of our guys this year. We would be 0-2 to western Michigan and southern florida this year. I'm embarrassed for our guys.
Don't want to peak too early....
Et tu, Laimbeer? Hilarious. Once again game is delayed by lightning. The announcer told the fans to leave. Nope. So the police tell them to leave. Nope. So they have basketball coach Tom Izzo tell them to leave. Yep. Classic.
That was awesome. Great story with video here: Michigan State's Tom Izzo fires up students to evacuate Spartan Stadium | MLive.com
Boring Spartans win 21-6 or whatever....I went to a GospelMusic fest at the state fair and did nothing but sit in my chair for three hours. SpartanNation probably did the same thing!!
what idiots.........where were the seniors?????????????????
94 yards passing on 12-24. That's 3.9 yards per attempt. Wow............
The only thing that matters is the W.
Still think MSU will be 8-0 when they meet Michigan. Darth has them only losing to Iowa and Notre Dame. That MSU defense will stuff both of those teams. I'm seeing a 14-10 victory against ND...with a defensive TD...
