The Spartans don't usually win the early season tough matchups but came out victorious tonight against #1 Kentucky.

That was a close one! Sparty played very well against another Kentucky team that will probably send 4 kids to the NBA in the top 15 draft spots.

Izzo is a tremendous coach. Those kids are incredibly focused. They seldom let their defense break down, took great shots, and moved the ball. They really Play the Right Way.

Should be a good season for State!

Oh yeah, that Gary Harris is great.

It's a tossup: Izzo or Coach K is the best men's college basketball coach in America. For me, Calipari is way down on the list because of his lack of ethics.

He's the face of the college basketball program. He's often the point of first contact, or one of his coaches. He is a developer of young men. I think ethics is pretty important.

Calipari would agree with you, however, because he has no ethics. Education, to him, is a sham. He has help develop the NCAA into the NBA's minor league.

Nail-biter until less than 2 minutes left. Not a well played game by State against a team they should have romped at home. If I had a vote in next weeks rankings I'd drop MSU by 3 despite the win against UK

    # 1 Spartans get knocked off at home by the tar heels and Big10-ACC Challenge ends in a tie.. MSU has issues with North Carolina just
like the Wolverines have with the Dukies...

The ACC went 4-2 on Tuesday and the Big 10 went 4-2 on Wednesday. An almost certain Spartan victory over North Carolina would have given the edge to the Big 10.

MSU will lose two games this week- Just watch!! Poor move Izzo.......and who's freekin idea was it to dress them like notre dame!

Another poor showing for the Spartans this afternoon losing to the Illini. The refs and Illinois gave Sparty every opportunity to come back and win this one as both teams missed the front ends of their one and one free throw ops and Illinois grabbed every miss that the Spartans shot going down the stretch.

They were healthy (full strength) today.:6shoot:
Spartans only got 18 points in the 2nd half. :bs:
Everybody not named Harris totaled 27 points. :cold:
