BDL, i don't think you avatar is keeping with PC nature of this forum. With all the shootin' and everything. Now you want to arm squirrels.
You're right. I don't want any of those losers. Especially Reid. I would take a college coach, since Harbaugh and Carroll have enjoyed recent success. I just don't want to see this confusion any more...........
Lovie knows what he's doing. But leaving Cutler behind that line was dorky. Got to love that dee ! 300+ fantasy points.
UPDATE 2-NFL-Heads roll on Black Monday as seven coaches fired - Yahoo! News So far 7 coaches and 5 GM's get axed... and the Lions still have not made a move...
Then we need to fire the GM or some of the players that caused Jim's team to lose 8 in a row and finish 4-12. Or just fire Jim and hire Lovie Smith whom was canned after 10-6 record....
Statford kind of reminded me of Vick with his turnovers. If he stayed in he pocket and got hit , he fumbled. If he ran outside the pocket he fumblitis. If he threw the ball - INT. Yet the coaches just looked the other way. Maybe you could sit him for a quarter.
Bears fans were hoping that their team would lose so that Smith would get fired. They were worried if the Bears made the playoffs that Lovie would be back.
All of the former Lions coaches are available. If we decide we need Schwartz back later, I'm sure he'll be available too.
Lovie is respected by his players and coaches. His teams do not get involved in the type of misadventure that's becoming all too regular here. For 9 years he's had nothing but overrated QBs to work with. (Rex Grossman, Kyle Orton, Jay Cutler) He's been to the Super bowl and has an 81-63 record over 9 seasons..........even after a 5-11 first season........ There's no Lions coach in the last 50 years who can touch that. I'll take him over any candidate out there..........Including our current Knucklehead.
Lovies methods work better than Lion. Lions would've upgraded the oline. Where Bears do the Dee. Lovie should be beaten with dry noodle for this years oline. And the QBs before Cutler which he spent too much for were grade C at best.
Mike Holmgren said yesterday he would entertain all offers, no matter how bad the team was. Even though Schwartz still has a job, maybe the Lions should still reachout to him...GM? HC? Mike Holmgren -- 'I'll listen' if teams express interest - ESPN
I don't know what Holmes was doing as a GM but as a coach he was better than us. But then everyone is.
