Bell was a workhorse...but for awhile it appeared the final was going to be 13-10 BState...Good win for Sparty

Defense great. Bell fantastic! Quarterback sucks.

GO SPARTANS! Go Big Ten. Good luck vs. Bama Wolverines.

Just got back from the game! Couple things I noticed. MSU= ground and pound. Even though it's boring for the fans, they have to do it, it's a big strength. Maxwell = terrible. So many mistakes. Even the MSU fans were getting tired of all the mistakes. Should get better though. Defense solid, but lots of stupid penalties.

Bell is an amazing blend of size and agility. Doesn't have blazing speed but has moves and a wicked stiff arm. When he gets to open field running safeties are probably fearing for their lives.

We lost too many wide receivers. Keeshaw Martin, Keith Nichols, and BJ Cunningham. The new guys dropped way too many.

Bell reminded me of Lorenzo White......when Lorenzo had 55 carries for 286 yards against Indiana back in 1985.

He carried the ball 386 times that season.............

He lost the Heisman vote to Bo Jackson and Chuck-it Long................

Michigan State earned the Big Ten some much needed respect last night. Let's hope nothing happens today to make the Conference take a huge step backward .

Maxwell doesn't suck. He has a pretty strong arm and just needs to find some touch on his passes.

Some part time fans will throw him under the bus quickly............

MSU will rely on him soon enough..............

Michigan State #11. But I would put them 9th above west Virginia and South Carolina.

Michigan drops to 19th. MSU should make it 5 in a row over them but they will be scrappiest in Ann Arbor. I wouldn't have wanted to open against AlAbama either. So Michigan is still the 2nd best team in the State.

I hold high expectations for MSU. But the Boise State win was all I wanted and I am thrilled.

Good for Dantonio. But the damage is done.

In the long run it won't matter. Michigan is at home but Sparty is the better team, IMO. The game is a little ways off still. I think most of us eagerly anticipate it but presently Michigan State just needs to focus on Central Michigan and 2-0, I think. Those idiots just are causing distractions. He should suspend them a game, lol. Hopefully their services wont be required for CMU anyhow.

MSU favored by 22 over Central Michigan

U of M favored by 21 over Air Force

Both teams should get wins by nice scores and we will feel all warm and cozy inside but:

Central has given Sparty fits in the past. But the new tough Sparty doesn't get trapped by the games between Boise and Notre Dame. The new MSU handles last weeks success well (minus a couple tweets).they want to show their offense sans Cousins and company is just fine.

    Final. MSU 41 - Central Michigan 10

U of M is out to show Sparty and the rest of the college football world that they ain't bAd...Alabama is good. They have an attitude at home against a good Air Force team. Denard plays well against the weaker teams and Touissant wants to atone. Defense does better.

    U of M -41

    Air Force-23

I under estimated Michigan State. They won 41-7, but I predicted 41-10. :)

Michigan slithered by Air Force 31-25. Based on that win, The BCS has extended an offer for them to attend The Sugar Bowl. ;)

I assume that Maxwell did ok...........since no State fans are praising him...........after I was pulling him out from under the bus.

Nice win. The Spartans did what they were supposed to do. The fans and Central Michigan program thanked MSU for the honor of affording their humble small University the opportunity tog get a butt whooping from the mighty Michigan State program.

The defense once again was nearly flawless. The receivers hung on to the football better than in the first game. The word is that Maxwell was "sharper" this time. Still there are concerns about him. The performance was maybe acceptable to lesser programs but the powerful Spartans expect excellence. Still..he is still learning and hopefully can do better.

Notre dame is next and the team will almost certainly need Maxwell.

2-0 for the best College team in the State and apparently one of the best in the country.

Michigan State is #10 in the AP. they only moved up one spot because only Arkansas ahead of them lost and dropped totally out of the top 25. Michigan is (overrated) at #17.

Arkansas was the 2nd biggest fall in AP history. Who was the victim of the biggest fall? The University of Michigan in 2007 after the infamous laugher after they lost to a division 2 team named Appalaichan State!! lol.

Next week is a toughie for Michigan State as they take on #20. Notre Dame in East Lansing. Remember that great play a couple years ago?

Maxwell and rhe receivers need to have a good game. The defense should shine once again. It won't be easy. Will it come down to the kicker once again?

It would be nice to win this one as Michigan State has an easy one the following week. 4-0 sounds great, although 3-1 isn't that bad.

This will be a good test for Notre Dame in preparation for BYU later in the season.

Funny guy, nothing can prepare a team for the BYU assault.
