Trey Burke just Mateen Cleaved this game for Michigan. When Cleaves was on the floor,I never thought State was out the game, but this was unbelieveable. I saw a guard who just played his way to the top 5 of the NBA draft. He is Chris Paul with 3 pt range and will grow to be Westbrook's size. I was wrong about Pistons drafting him-they most certainly should. And next year, McGary will be a beast!!!!! IF GR3 doesnt go pro, M will win Big 10 + 4.

He definitely looked like a pro stuck in a college game.

Was interesting hearing him talk about his 0 point first half performance. Basically, he was trying to defer. Coach told him to be more aggressive in the 2nd half and he summoned his inner Bynum.

Me and Mrs. Dre and our pooch were ecstatic watching that last 5 mins of regulation and the OT... Trey Burke looked like a late lottery pick in the first half and as Oldieschoolie said, move up to a top five by the end of it.

I was chatting in a special Michigan Wolverine chat room set up by the Detroit FreePress via Facebook and most of the folks there wanted the Pistons to select Burke if he was available no matter what pick they get.

Hopefully none of them go to the pros, but I suspect if they win it all, Burke and GRIII and/or THJr will be gone. Just think if McGary had gotten the minutes and had the confidence he has shown the past three games, these guys could have gone undefeated....not that it makes any difference now. The obvious lack of bench strength in the front court has been exposed on national TV during the "madness" and hopfully Beilien can recruit some bigs.

Let him hang around Great8 for a few years then maybe he can last more than 2 seconds in Izzo's world.

It's not really fair to compare Beilein to Izzo. How many coaches will compare well with Izzo? And why compare them?...just because they are in the same State?

I agree. It's like comparing all of the Pistons ooaches to Georve Irvine.

Yeah , you're right. Izzo is a GREAT coach. But nobody said Beilein was the second coming. He looks to
A good coach. He deserves praise. I don't believe Michigan is in a very tough bracket but regardless..or irregardless... If you will, lol, Michigan was a contender for the Big Ten title AND they ARE IN THE Elite eight after a great comeback win over a good Kansas squad. They weren't very good before. Im certainly no wolverine fan but we should give the guy his due.

You should be ecstatic for the second half! Just 8:45 to go to seal it.

That's really cool for you guys. They believe in themselves after escaping elimination by a hair. They will probably play Louisville. We shall see just how good these guys are.

Win it for the Big Ten!

Didnt we used to do green outs when Michigan State went to the final four? Or was that just the finals? Anyhow, as much as much as it pains me to say this, and I may decide to gouge out my own eyes afterward, turnabout is fair play, and you may want to ask...
