Actually, I think we've made the last 48 posts on the entire forum.
I went to see how my students were doing...and they had gone home for the day.
Michigan State gives Dantonio new 5-year deal - College Football - Rivals.com Dantonio gets a [SARCASM]fat[/SARCASM] annual raise in his new contract...for 5 years....
Yea, that was strange. It was almost like an insulting raise.
Last 47, I had one of them.
Good to see OSU play well against Nebraska. They had a 27-6 lead in the 3rd quarter... Unfotunately, OSU is choking and Nebraska is behind 27-20...still in the 3rd quarter... This helps to validate State as a good team which can beat Michigan next weekend...
I wouldn't call it insulting. It was an extension, not a raise.
the 30 thou extra per year should cover the twinkies tab........
Yes, MSU is the home team, but how is it that they are ranked approximately 10 spots below Michigan are they favored by 3 points??? Well, if Michigan wins this one, I'm hoping they move ahead of Boise State, but if Sparty wins, I would think they would leapfrog Michigan. These rankings are so random. Yes, I am still searching for Rascoe if anyone is wondering. Poor Jammer has been crying his eyes out in worry (or maybe because it gets so cold in that igloo with nobody to cuddle up beside), and therefore I will not stop looking until I can reunite them.
Nike doing its Pro Combat uniforms for the Spartans this game. Not that crazy about the uniform in general but the bronze helmet looks pretty sweet.
Oct. 10, 2011 EAST LANSING, Mich. - Michigan State University announced Monday it had received a $1 million gift from the family of men's basketball coach Tom Izzo and his wife Lupe. The gift, among the largest ever by an active coach at any university, will be split among several projects, with a majority of the funds going toward the Spartan football program. "We've been blessed to be a part of the Michigan State family for nearly 30 years," Izzo said. "Jud Heathcote taught me long ago that the only good deal was one that benefits both parties, and that perfectly describes my relationship with Michigan State University. My wife Lupe and I, along with our children Raquel and Steven, have dedicated our lives to this University, because we believe in intercollegiate athletics and the positive role it plays in so many lives. The Spartans students are our passion, our life's work. We've raised a family here and become entrenched in the mission of the University. And in return, we've received so much more than we've given. With these blessings, we felt it was time to make a financial contribution. "Supporting the football team was an easy decision. Coach Dantonio is a man of character, building a championship program. But what makes football special is that it truly benefits everyone across the university. Spearheaded by football's success, there is great momentum throughout all programs." In addition to the amount earmarked for the football program, including both scholarship endowments and capital projects, the Izzo gift will also support other projects, including the George Webster Scholarship Fund, the MSU Spartan Marching Band and Olympic Sports at MSU. Pretty cool story. Not a RichRod type of move is it?
DickRod gave money to UM?
FBS numbers: MSU is 1st in total defense. UM is 14th in total offense. MSU is (inexplicably) 61st in total offense. UM is 39th in total defense. This should be an interesting game. Our OC got 2 weeks to straighten-out the offense. I hope he is spending his time wisely :fingerscr
Inexplicably? Inexplicably? Inexplicably? Inexplicably?
You kidding? He stole 3 years worth of salary. Here is the extent of his charitable donations... Fired Sale: Rich Rodriguez's donation draws crowd - ESPN Cliff's notes version: He took some laundry to the Salvation Army and immediately took off.
Cousins has had a couple of not-so-hot games, but he is not the problem. Play calling has been most of the problem
The play calling has been what we thought it would be on the offensive end after Treadwell left. Combine that with a quarterback that tries his best to succeed but doesn't quite have it and looks scared during the biggest games. 20-20 at the end of regulation... Overtime: Michigan 26 Michigan State 23 I think Sparty has only a couple days left before they have to sit at the little kid's table again. I actually could also see Michigan State getting blown out in this one. Michigan is confident, talented, and ticked. Kiss Paul Bunyan goodbye for at least one year.
