My pitching staff looks like the 1972 Orioles staff. Of course with only 10 teams its hard to tell if its good or not.
I didn't care for auction, personally. I would get distracted by the family and miss out on stuff. It was way too long for me. I left after a while because I had money left but it would shut me down after I would go up to $5. I figured I would be better off hoping the would become free agents. Plus my thing kept freezing and I couldn't bid. I had to leave and come back a couple times. Needless to say that my team sucks due to my crap picks and my crap computer.
I thought you had a great draft through your first 7 or 8 picks. I think the worst draft was the guys who sat to the end and let all the top tier talent get by them. You snagged a lot of good players. The auction at Yahoo was pretty bad. The auction I had done at ESPN was a lot faster, and a lot more exciting. I think the long clock let people overthink what they were doing. I'm sorry for everyone who didn't have a good time. :( If you want to make some trades Darth, hit me up.
I had fun, it was just REEEEAAAAAALLLLLLLY long. That was my first ever auction draft and I learned a lot. It was I'd do things a lot differently in the future. I think our collective inexperience at this type of draft played a factor in the length. Yahoo also gives too much time for nominating and bidding IMO, but that's out of our hands. All things considered, I'm pretty happy with my team.
. i think i had the most at 8 dollars... but i got my last 4-5 players way under priced imo. I had a really good time, but like others i felt the bidding was to long, i sat there going... i know i am going to bid but if i bid now the price is just going to be driven way up, do i wait and do i bid....
I knew your pre-draft "tips" to be patient and not spend all your money at the beginning were just a ploy to eliminate competition for the players you wanted...
I had alot of fun. I had 11 dollars left at the end. My mistake. Oh well. First auction draft, first time in fantasy baseball. It's all good, playing with friends. Baseball has so many injuries and surprises, I think it will be easy to pick up talent on the wire. Just gotta pay attention to what's goin on.
Yes. They play twice as many games in baseball (162) as they do in basketball (82) or hockey (80) so there is twice as much data to help you make a decision. I'm getting pretty burned out on all of them but baseball is probably my favorite fantasy sport.
Hey, I warned you about buying the audio version of Stat Tracker so that you could listen to it 24/7 was a bad idea. But do you ever listen? Noooooooooo
Hey Rascoe, Can we get a smiley of a guy smiley in an evening gown and high heels kicking a potato smiley while he is down?
I think I won one title, but I didn't add it to my profile. I might make a special trophy just for the Keeper title this year. ;) :D
I appreciate the thought, but I wouldn't feel right having a special trophy made just for me. Thanks, anyways.
