May as well stick the proverbial fork in my team. I had nobody on the DL last Sunday when I set my lineup. Now I have four (4) freakin guys on the DL. All were in my lineup, too. Oh well, my team was pretty sorry anyhow!
Jammer beat Slugenski's 10-0 a couple of weeks ago. Sometimes he gets hot....and other teams, well, he's just Jammer....
My team is absolutely [STRIKE]Darth Tater[/STRIKE] pathetic this year. I don't care if your entire rostre is on the DL, I'll take a win any way I can get it at this point!
You were kicking my but, irregardless. Mauer was a maniac on Monday. I wasn't using it as an excuse. Just lamenting my bad luck/bad picks. Well done walrus hunter.
Finally playing league doormat Jammer, on the cusp of moving into the last playoff position All of my pitchers (save one closer) get shelled. The strongest part of my team, decimated.
I don't know what in the hell I am doing. Thought I would learn more as I go on but its not working out that way. Looks like my team is hanging in there anyway.
I would just like to point out that I am no longer in last place! I needed to point it out quickly, since I'm playing the #1 team this week and will be in last place again next week.
With only 1 loss and a .625 winning percentage over the last 8 weeks, the Laim Little Leaguers have catapulted from the bottom of the standings to a current 3rd place position. With only 3 weeks remaining, it appears Laim's team is poised to defend its title. Congrats to all of the other teams for trying to make things interesting.
Darth, nice pick up of Anibal Sanchez. I really wanted him, but I couldn't figure out who to drop. Your team still sucks, but nice move irregardless.
I have no idea who he is because I just picked him up because I lost another guy to the DL. He will suck now that I got him. Poor guy.
Does draft order matter? Well, in week #1, 5 out of the 6 winners drafted in the top 6 spots. The only team that didn't win was the team that drafted 4th, Can'tWinForLosing, which perhaps lived up to its team name. The team that drafted 11th, TheRunner-ups, was the only team not drafting in the top half that pulled out a week #1 victory. Whether this was a fluke or will continue to hold true to form remains to be seen....
drinking early today again? think you meant to post in the FOOTBALL thread not the BASEBALL thread :P I know losing as bad as you did last week and being out of the playoffs really must have hurt.
LOL. Yea, my baseball team completely laid an egg last week. It was very strange because my entire team was on a roll heading into the playoffs. I guess I had them peaking too early. Call me a clueless coach. Call me a drunk. Just don't call me Darth.
