This team has much more young talent than those squads ever had - way more and better potential building blocks. And I don't buy the idea that we have too many bad contracts. We aren't going to contend for two to three years, at least. By that time, today's "bad" contracts will be great large soon-to-expire-contracts. Rip, Maxiell, CV even Gordon -- those guys will be very ripe for trading whether or not they have real BB value.

LOL. I guess that is one positive in blowing up a team. We now are able to get excited about a draft again. We haven't had a high draft pick since uh......., never mind.

CV really sucks on defense, but it wouldn't be such a big deal if he could actually rebound or contribute on offense consistently.

You're right. I think we'd see CV try harder on the defensive end if we were a contender, or even a playoff team. His positioning is weak and he doesn't seem to have that great lateral quickness. However, he can board and he can block. More importantly, he gets really worked up when he does a good defensive play (as in block someone's shot).

Defense is hard work and you need to be willing to sacrifice your body. It's hard to get motivated to do that when you're heading towards the lottery. Also, it's counter-productive as the effort might result in an accidental win which can derail the entire season.

    I liked this part:

All we need is the right ping pong ball to bounce our way and one decent F/A to look our way and we'll be on our way.

    Per ESPN...
"Kentucky blew out Arkansas on Jan. 23, but Wall committed seven turnovers in just 26 minutes. In Kentucky's loss to South Carolina last week, point guard Devan Downey dominated Kentucky, and Wall's game (19 points on 6-for-16 shooting, 2 assists and 4 turnovers) wasn't particularly strong. Against Vanderbilt this past Saturday, he went 4-for-12 from the field and had 7 more turnovers."

"The Bobcats should be sold within a month."

Tonight he was 17-7 as kentucky beat Ole Miss 85-75....all of the NBA scouts were in Lexington tonight drooling over him and hopefully someone from the Pistons was there too....in fact Joe should have been there.

He has scored in double figures in 20 of his 21 games this season and he being compared to Lebron but, as PG any lottery bound team can build the franchise around....we need to lose the rest of the games this month....

PSU vs The SUCKeyes of OSU.
    On 9/15 FG's and 9/11 FT's, Evan Turner scored 27pts pulled down 10 rebs, dished out 6asts, had 3stls and......3 TURNOVERS[IMG]. And played ALL 40 Minutes!

6'7", Plays all three perimeter positions and plays them well. At best he's the 2nd coming of Pre-injury Grant Hill, most likely scenario he's Brandon Roy, worse case scenario he's Russell Westbrook. You draft Evan Turner and we can trade any 2 of our 4 guards, he'll be better than ALL OF THEM!

There are still "some" who would call that an uttainable scenario.

If anyone catched the UTEP-Tulsa game on ESPN last night, I am praying that my nephew who is the starting PG for UTEP get drafted in the second round.

He doesn't shoot much, but he is a PURE big 6'7" PG who can run the offense very efficiently. I am hoping that he stays in for his senior year and come out next year.

I am holding on that UTEP will win Conf USA Title and get an automatic bid to the NCAA.

That Pistons should Draft a Big Man who can score is common sense.

    Everybody knows that.

Its a Big Man or a True Poing Guard.

But this years Draft it's kind of weak with PG's and Strong in PF's and C's

Also.. I think that everybody will agree that if we, with all the luck of the universe, get the number 1 pick we should draft John Wall no matter what.

I like this players that i think could help Detroit.

    DeMarcus Cousins
    Derrick Favors
    Cole Aldrich
    Greg Monroe.

I also like Evan Turner a lot but I don't know if it would be a good move to pick him.. I mean.. we would have a lot of Shooting Guards.
