Jerebko began his career playing with the Swedish League club Borås Basket and in the 2006-07 season he moved to the reigning Swedish champion team Plannja Basket, where he also won a Swedish championship. He then moved to the Italian Lega A club Pallacanestro Biella in 2007. He declared that he would enter the 2008 NBA Draft, but later withdrew, stating that he wanted to spend one more year in the Italian League to gain more experience before entering the NBA. Former college coach and current cPanel® analyst Fran Fraschilla considers Jerebko one of the top five European prospects in the 2009 draft.[1]

Just watched some highlights about Jerebko, not bad. He may be the steal of the draft.

I really like the Summers pick. I've seen a lot of Gtown games here in D.C., his defense is off the charts.

Don't foget these yahoo G.M's are trading for sake of trading right now. Now these are the guys who don't seem to have a plan.

The thing about Joe is; he is not reactive, I like that. Remember, it's best to sign your free agents first, then do your trades.

I'm sure Jerebko gets stashed in Italy for another year.

Tell me you didn't just say that! I'm trying to avoid the controversy and instead share the love. Roscoe has shown me the light with his whips and chains :eyebrows:.

    From draft express:
    Reebok Eurocamp Summary, Part One
    June 11, 2009
Coming off an impressive showing in the Italian league semi-finals, Jerebko played only one game here on the camp’s final day. Regardless, he was able to make his presence felt immediately, looking impressive in both the morning drills and the actual game--giving the NBA people a very good feel for what he brings to the table. Jerebko shot the ball well throughout the day, only missing one of his seven shots in the game, while picking up 5 steals, 4 rebounds and 2 assists in 28 minutes. He also showed something of a back to the basket game, using his superior size to get off a pretty and very old-school sky-hook shot in the lane. He played very physical man to man defense on the perimeter, while always looking to make the proper rotation on team defense. He also showed plenty of hustle, going the length of the floor with reckless abandon at one point to come up with a loose ball, and using his length to alter plenty of shots around the paint as well, not giving his matchup anything easy. Considering the small sample size, there wasn’t a whole lot more Jerebko could have done. After seeing him a number of times in person over the past year and a half, it’s safe to say that there aren’t many players like him in this draft.

Some say he is European and other claim he played most of his ball in the United States. But I will tell you this. Capp Spayce will be the savior of the Pistons. Just watch. In Joe we trust. What an exciting day this will be when that announcement is made. Yessir. I can't wait.

An unpopular selection amongst Pistons Forum fans, the rights to Capp Spayce have been traded for the rights to Branew Rosta. Not much is known about Branew Rosta, although Hubie Brown has described him as a combination of multiple players and positions, and that he has temendous upside potential. The Pistons organisation will be counting on Branew Rosta to return them to the elite of the East in the coming seasons. Stay tuned for more details.

Another guy that should be available who also looks really interesting cause he's skilled is Chase Budinger @ 6"7 from Arizona (Junior). Depending upon the site visited he's listed as a 2, 3 or swing player.
He's also a volleyball player and is reputed to have great hands.
We might even be able to trade down a couple spots to take him. (posted back on 5/17)

Four wingmen. Budinger at the two, and three threes.

Actually Budinger was the guy that received all that hype durning his first two years in the league because he was supposedly the next Larry Bird.
