Visogoths, that's getting deep into history. However they were considered barbarians. i.e. uncouth.
Not to mention the Lombardos that once controled parts of Italy.

Actually, the Romans called them unclvilized, which leterally means that they don't live in cities, because they were traditionally tribe people.

But, "Alaric the Uncivilized" wouldn't fit.

I was poking around over at Yahoo and I see a couple of my players were put on "can't trade/drop" red bar thingee.
    I didn't do it.

Yahoo designates who is on the "can't cut list".

    It kind of sucks.

    I have 3 guys I think.

I am not sure how they decide who it is. Maybe if it's a team's MVP or something.

    Ughhh!

Clinton Portis, my 1st pick seperated his shoulder in a preseason game, tackling a guy who intercepted a pass.

    Ughhh!

    He's done for the preseason.

    And:

Aug 14 Melinda Waldrop, of the Daily Press, reports Washington Redskins RB Clinton Portis (shoulder) flew to Birmingham, Ala., Monday, Aug. 14, to be examined by orthopedic surgeon Dr. James Andrews, who confirmed Redskins team doctors' findings that Portis' shoulder needs only rest, head coach Joe Gibbs said. "We need to get him back here, be aggressive with the rehab as soon as he can start running, and get back to weight work on that thing," Gibbs said.

    God's speed Clinton.

    What are you gonna do?

Have the three QB's riding your pine throw extra footballs into the game to mess with my players?

Oh I've got it. They'll throw footballs at my coach during the game, so that he has to make rushed decisions.

And you'd better hope that your two running backs stay healthy, because that fat lard Ron Dayne hasn't carried anything since the Heisman.

After the first game I'll make decision on A.Brooks, P.Rivers and Dane.
I'll be looking for a WR or RB.

:eyebrows: I guess after the first game we can all try to glut on your leftover QB's.

Unless there are a rash of injuries, I think it might be a buyers market. There are still a couple of decent starters available as FA's.

TFD, a word of advice. Just enjoy and have fun with it. I've always had good luck in the draft and bad luck in trades when I have played fantasy sports.

But I do savour putting a whupping on someone, even if it only happens once in the entire season.

You got PM in 5 minutes.

    I'm scrambling here.

I've got Portis (can't cut list) who missed most of the preseason with a shoulder injury.

And I've got Dominic Davis (can't cut list) who is reportedly going to be placed on the injured reserve and miss the entire season.

That's 2 top 15 RB's on my squad that are a huge question mark.

Hey commish: Can you turn the can't cut list off? I know you can do it when you set-up the league, and it is for competeive reasons, but can you do it once the league is already in place? Or will they allow me to cut him if he gets the IR?

I'm already in like 2 leagues so I've got my hands full... Thank the good Lord that Football season has finally returned. I just had to gloat a little bit about FINALLY getting the #1 overall draft spot this season in my pay for league... It was a tough decision between SA, LJ, or LT.... For me it came down to the fact that with Brees gone to NO I wasn't willing to trust that rivers can pick up that offense that quickly so Tomlinson may struggle. Then I'm pretty sure Alexander will get a bunch of TD's as usual, however seattle won't sneak up on anyone and being on the cover of Madden 07 the bullseye is on his back. Therefore I ended up taking Larry Johnson as my overall #1 draft choice, the KC line is always great and he put up huge fantasy football #'s last season once holmes was injured.

Man the Lions defense had blocked my kicker twice!

And they put a hard helmet to helmet hit on my QB. And that scared the hell out of me.

Thank god that the didn't get the interception.

That is the problem with Fanstasy sports. I want my team to play well (the Lions) but they're playing against my QB and my kicker.

Ahhh, well my kicker just hit a 51 yarder. That's okay.
